Merla Mae Ice Cream

Great staff and customer service, also dog friendly which is amazing. They have picnic tables to sit at. I got the Shaggy Dog sundae, which was okay but not worth it for the price: $10 for soft serve vanilla topped with whipped cream, caramel syrup, and shredded coconut? Better off just getting the cones!

Very cute restaurant. I love that it's open year-round. Huge selection of ice cream treats almost overwhelming!. My sundae was good but, at over $8 for a small, maybe a bit too pricey to go here super regularly

Love the variety of flavours and types of ice cream. You can choose anywhere from a simple cone, sundaes to cookie sandwiches. The prices are fair and the place is super cute!

Been here twice now, it's fantastic. Just go try it, it's worth the drive and worth the money. Take it from a level seven guide, with over 300 reviews, who absolutely loves ice cream, THIS is the pace to go.

It's like a walk back in time, the signage, the jukebox, the garage door...all brings a cool vibe during your visit. First time experiencing Merla Mae's, we really enjoyed it. We got there just in time as the line up built up significantly behind us-definitely a population spot with the locals! The variety is really good, so much on the menu to give you the hints you need to pick the right one for your tastebuds! The quality of our orders were good, even if the pricing was a bit steep. It is a great locale to try and enjoy with your date or your family! A super treat on a 'Sundae' afternoon!

This place is a London institution. Visited a few times with the fam, the lil kids and they love it. I say bring the fam, bring loved ones and spend the $$$. Word to the wise... This is an ice cream shop. AN ICE CREAM SHOP. Let's be real, how anyone can take someone's negative review serious... They're probably used to 1 dollar deals at some fast food place OR just grumpy in life. The 6-7 times I've been here over the years my nieces and nephews love it and their grandparents love it. Ages 3-12 and 55+ should only be the reviewers for anything nostalgic like ice cream. Don't listen to people who put a price on a smile.

I ordered a themed ice cream cake for my daughters 3rd birthday and to be honest I was just amazed it was way more of what I expected and the taste was delicious !! Amazing costumer service, punctual and communicative and very clear….. Loved it loved it!

Love this place and their ice cream, been going here my whole life. The only thing that drags my rating down a star is the fact that they're closed and there isn't an explanation anywhere as to why. I'm assuming it's "for the season" like I've seen in posts from 2019 but I'm not sure why communication is such an issue when they shut down for long periods of time and this is supposedly normal. Most businesses would update their website with a time window of how long they'll be closed for but I guess I'll just wait until April to even attempt visiting again. The annoying part is I really wanted to try the egg nog milkshake but supposedly the shipment arrived super late and they didn't have those flavours in time for Christmas, I was hoping they'd have it a couple weeks later but now they're closed without notice. If I didn't love their icecream so much my rating would definitely be much lower.

The best staff! Get ready to spend your money, but the portions are very generous and absolutley worth it. A huge menu of options. Go!

We love coming to Merla Mae. I can say confidently it's the best ice cream in London. Staff are super friendly and I love the patterns and colors in the building, all the signage, the huge selection of menu items. The ice cream is light, almost like whipped cream and tastes great. They let you do any toppings and combinations you want. The ONLY reason I wouldn't give them 5 stars is the pricing. Sundaes are quite simply expensive, which means we can't come here as often which is too bad because they have so many cool menu items to try. Despite the steep pricing, we keep coming back. It's THAT good. I should also mention that diary queen is ridiculous for what you get and isn't worth the price whereas this is. My favorite sundae to get is the bumble crumble!
