Merivale Station Restaurant

This is the first time I've ever given 2 different reviews on a single business. This time, we went to the station around lunchtime on a weekend. My wife had breakfast, which never disappoints, while I decided to have the Broiled Chicken on a Kaiser with fries and coleslaw. I never would have expected to be served a side plate sized coleslaw. It was both fresh and delicious! The Broiled Chicken was cooked to perfection, and huge! If you're on the hunt for a restaurant with ambiance, this isn't the place. However, if you're interested in finding a restaurant that serves great food, HUGE portions, and amazing prices, this is the place!!!!

Great little mom and pop type food. Be prepared to wait, as there are less than a dozen tables and about 2 or 3 staff. It is first come first serve and they are all working hard. Their portions are big and their pricing is small. Great bacon!!! You can have breakfast, lunch or dinner all day. Their menu is simple but their food is good. We would come back anytime. 2 of us ate well for less than $25.

Great hidden gem with classic diner fare. They get busy on the weekends so expect a wait at peak lunch hours. The menu is short and sweet and the prices are super affordable. Flavours are pretty good, nothing spectacular but the portions are also huge. Service is quite slow since there's only one server, but even then, the prioritization of certain tasks could improve ie. take orders before doing a round of coffee refills.

Two of us just enjoyed breakfast here. Reasonable prices, large servings and a friendly waitress. Appears to be a mom and pop operation and they sure work hard. Would definitely recommend this hidden gem for a casual, good meal.Food: 5/5

This is a hidden gem. Simple decor but GOOD food / GOOD coffee. this place reminds me real family ma ma style breakfast. Love supporting local business. #supportlocal Been to a couple of $$$$ chain breakfast locations, but will definitely return here next and next time.

Husband and I ate here for the first time today. Went for a walk while waiting on our car at the shop, and stumbled upon this little place. All day breakfast, lunch & dinner. Great prices, and HUGE portions for the price. The waitress was great, very friendly. And the food was yummy. Would definitely go back. Nice quiet little spot : Dietary restrictions: The substituted tomatoes and cucumber for me, as I couldn't have the home fries.

Remember when we had little local restaurants serving good food at a great price? Here's a throwback to those days. Huge portions of good quality food, at a great price. It's been a long time since I finished off a plate of food and felt it was an accomplishment. Forget the big chain restaurants, this place does exactly what it's supposed to. My only piece of advice, tip them well, we need to keep places like this alive.

Oh what a gem of a place, a new regular!! So glad to have found it and tried it. Very clean, affordable and large portions!! We had the supreme breakfast and three egg omelette, it was very filling. Very homely feeling. You have to go early else there is a waiting for about 10-15mins but it's worth it. No big hype, no big reservations. Simple menu but five start quality and service.

Food was plentiful and tasted great. Prices were outstanding. Service was a little slow but you can forgive that for the price you're getting. Easily half the price of other places around. $24 for two meals. That's an inflation buster right there.Food: 5/5
