Mercy has upgraded their ER department, added a new parking ramp, and added a huge new baby wing recently. I've had some time spent there visiting family and from the ER at night, it's got 24x7 vending that takes credit cards Mercy Hospital saved my family member's life that night and we are so grateful. They took great care of my family when we had to be in the ER for a very serious problem with a member. They helped us find a "Family Room" and the staff was as considerate to us as the patients. Great place when needed! (only 4 stars as they had to ambulance our family member to another hospital due to severity and need for a high level ICU, but they got everything smoothly prepped and gave him a super ambulance ride to a downtown hospital.)

Went in for severe abdominal pains. Was told the wait was gonna be 6-7 hours. Ended up getting emergency surgery at Princeton hospital for appendicitis. Mercy does not care unless your in a self inflicted sickness. They were taking care of drunks and methheads before actual illnesses of general people. Ever since they remodeled they are a complete joke. Will never recommend anyone going here. Absolutely horrible service. Mercy should be ashamed they charge people to diagnose anyone. All around horrible place.

My dad was a patient there and it was the worst experience of his life. The doctors cracked his front teeth when they were putting a tube down his throat. The nurse did not dispose of waste properly. It is an unclean and gross hospital. I will never take any loved ones there again.

As I am sitting g here in the lobby as Hu by is in procedure I see such happy content faces.what is appealing to me is it the happy faces with all the dogs getting live from everyone . These are the dogs that come in for patients to see.just seeing what is going on here I can imagine the happiness that goes into every room.this is awesome and great to see

The emergency department is horrible. We brought my son in with croup and his breathing sounded terrible. Not a true emergency, but he was not able to lay down without waking up in a panic, and I knew a epi neb could only be given by a doctor (we had been to urgent care earlier and they didn't offer it 😕). Anyway enough about me. We waited for 1.5 hours to be seated, were seated in a room for 30 min, saw a doctor (very nice, very good doctor) for 10 min, then had to wait over one hour for two treatments to be given. We were so tired with a visit for over 3 hours when he actually only received treatment or saw a provider for 30 min of that, tops. But that's not even the most concerning part. There were at least 2-3 people in this waiting room with us for hours who appeared to be in severe, nauseating pain. They looked so miserable. I know they were at least waiting the same 1.5 hours as we were because we were called back before them. However they had labs drawn during this wait. But my point is, when people are that sick and miserable, they should at least have a room and a place to rest. Especially if they have that long of a wait. I'm sure these poor people would have appreciated not sitting on stupid sofas that you can't even lay on because they put a big divider in the middle of it. Whose genius idea was that after this remodel?!?!?! Long story short, only go here if you can afford to potentially die in the waiting area. it's the worst place ever. We will be driving the extra 15 miles to north memorial in the future.
