I really enjoyed my time here, we came for a comedy night. The food was good! We got the pizza, which I thought was a bit small for the price point, but they were very tasty. I like that we could try their hot sauces with the pizza. The chili soup was very good and good portion size as well. We also got pretzels, which I thought were a bit salty - so I ended up picking out the salt pieces.
The food was delicious. Not your typical bar and restaurant. We were there for then open Mike on Tuesday nights the entertainment was great. All the food is artisan style. I had the beef burger which was awesome. I added some of the restaurants meowstard which really enhanced the flavour. The staff was very warm and inviting, we had a great time.
Great bar and excellent hot sauce with a wide range of flavours! The owners are friendly and really cool, and do a lot for Ottawa's live comedy and music scenes. Definitely worth checking out and supporting this place.
We had supper here and it was delicious. Perfectly sized portions and definitely home-cooked. Loved it. Great small selection of beers on tap, good vinyl spinning, casual and familial atmosphere. Had fun sampling hot sauces and bought some to take home. We'll be back!
Came here for an open mic comedy show. I like the name and I like the atmosphere. Industrial but local abstract art on the walls. Beers were good, decently priced and had some craft tallies in the fridge. I did not try their food this visit, but want to go back and give it a taste. I did buy a hot sauce and it is absolutely delicious! I will do another review when I return and have some food, maybe they will get an extra star
Wish I could give 3.5 stars. Not sure what to make of this place honestly. I did enjoy my time here overall. I love that they provide you with the sample hot sauces and you can try them all out and use as much or as little as you'd like on your meal. We sat around for a while trying every one! The hot sauces are good, really unique flavours. The owners were super nice and friendly and chatted with us for a few minutes. Unfortunately the food fell flat for me. I was surprised at how high the prices were for what you get. I ordered a pasta dish with some zucchinis and other veggies in it. I mean, it was edible, but it was really tasteless and it was cold. It looked and tasted like leftovers that I could have made at home. I was disappointed that I paid $15+ for it. It honestly made me sad because I was having a good time otherwise. They have a drink menu too which is pretty typical, nothing special. The interior is fine, they have a wall where you can see all their different sauces and buy some if you want to. Ambiance is alright. Overall the location kind of sucks though imo. They have a parking lot directly next to the store, but as far as we could tell, you can't park there? You don't exactly have a great view out the window of the gas station across the road either. I understand these are things that can't be changed, but it does detract from the overall pleasantness of the location. Overall I think this is a cute spot to stop by for the sole purpose of trying out the hot sauces, but I was severely disappointed in the food. Would probably go back and try the food again, as maybe this was just a one-off thing, but I'm not in any hurry to do that.
Atmosphere was ok nothing special. Alcohol selection was small but good and included some local craft beers. Food was tasty and fresh however the serving size for the burger was shockingly small. The burger was best described as a slider. At $15 dollars for the slider it fell very short of being good value for money spent. I left hungry.
Had lunch at this cute spot. We ordered the lentil burger, quinoa salad and our daughter 4 years old had the pasta which she ate ALL of! we also had the oatmeal cookies with warm milk for dessert, which were delicious. Overall the quality of food, service and great location win this spot 5 stars. The service was efficient, and water topped up in a timely fashion. This restaurant has a variety of hot sauces, and we tried a few. We will be back to try more in the near future!!
Stopped by to try their hot sauce. All the hot sauces had varying level of spice, but were flavourful! The guys helping us were friendly and knowledgeable! Good pints and the food looked decent. Will be back to try the food next time
This is a great spot. Never been there before tonight. Please go in and support this business. Have a meal, get a drink, buy some hot sauce! Covid has hurt them badly but the owners are keeping their spirits up and the great service going!! Looking forward to going back!
