Menchie's

Hello, I'm sure this isn't the right place for this. I'm just shocked is all. Took my wife and two kids to Menchies as none of them have ever been and according to the menchies website, I've been a Whopping 130 times from the high gate burnaby location opening to 2017 when I moved to Abbotsford. So I was looking for tart tub to have at home as I live quite a distance. My excitement was extinguished as soon as I went in: Asked if I could get a premade $10.99 tub of tart. Apparently, she wasn't authorized. So I went without a couple premade tubs of that. Half the ceiling lights were on. It looked like a dungeon. Four young-looking teenagers 15-17 year olds running around the place on their phones and giggling and rifling behind the till. The place oddly smelt like meat. Like a butchery, that refrigerated meat smell. There were flies on everything. These tiny little black flies. I wasn't asked for my points, I also wasn't allowed to redeem points I had $10 The topping where 1/10 filled. I'm talking maybe two oero; halved, four bits of past due strawberry,  stale marshmallows. None of the tables were cleaned, I had to ask them to clean our tables and all they did was scoff, ring a rag out of a bucket and graze the table with it. So now our tables wet, with our stale toppings on our frozen yogurt and there are flies all over the place. We left. It's so unfortunate, as I was so excited to finally share the experience with my new family the memory won't sit well with us. I won't be back, high gate location in Burnaby was better, but that was 2017 when I went there last.

We walked in right when they were about to close, but the staff was super nice and let us order what we wanted! All the options were still there, we had such a great experience.

The staff member made our visit a pleasant experience. I appreciated great customer service. This location is far below the standard of the other location in Langley. There is less selection of yogurt, less selection and quantity of toppings, less seating. The other location has outdoor seating.

2 machines were down. The place was clean and they had quite a few options for toppings as well.

Amazing selection and you can try before you buy! Almost always have dairy free and no sugar added varieties. Love how you can add as much or as little of the bazillion topping options as you like. Gummies cereals crushed chocolate bars mochi cookie dough balls brownie squares fresh fruit and even a few sauce toppings! Be sure to sign up for their points card to earn free store credit and birthday freebies!

The frozen yogurt is not sufficiently cooled. It was melting as it came out of the machine. I had a puddle before I even reached the toppings. Also, for adults, just not a good spread of flavors. Chocolate & Vanilla. Oreo- which in yogurt form is just…chocolate and vanilla again. Bubblegum, that’s not happening for me. Two non dairy sherbets. And Nutella. Honestly nothing really excited me. The fruit toppings were just sitting out in a cart, no cooling on fresh fruits. The staff were very polite and friendly.

Make sure you call before you go in, the hours of operation posted on Google and at the location are incorrect. It says there open until 8pm everyday, we went around 6pm and the doors were locked.

Just tried to pop in 15 minutes before they closed....but they had already closed up shop : Open sign was still on to add insult to injury

Wish there were more yogurt flavor and topping options. But the girl working here is so freaking friendly and helpful. Went out of her way to go talk to my 5 year old and give him a sticker as he sat and waited for my husband and I to put together the yogurt.

The selection was boring, 2 machines were not working. The toppings selection was horrible, and when I went to use the syrup it was empty. I asked the girl that was working to replace and she said no. I asked why they didn’t have proper toppings and she gave me nothing but attitude. Do not go to this location.
