Mellow Vibes Dog Training

We booked a one hour consultation with Paul to help us manage and train our 2.5 y.o. bernedoodle who was increasingly becoming aggressive. Paul provided us with expert advice and the right tools for handling our dog both at home and on walks. Within a day of implementing Paul's advice we saw a remarkable improvement in our dog's behaviour. A week later, she no longer barks at everyone passing our door, she no longer paws at the door incessantly to get into the garden, she has shown improvement with greeting guests to the house, and she is walking to heel and no longer lunging at other dogs and squirrels. Finally I am in charge of her rather than the other way round, and I look forward to enjoying companionship with a more relaxed dog.

We have done two short training sessions with Paul for our 3 year old doodle who was reactive with some dogs and people on walking and increasingly barking at all passersby when he was in the house. After just one session and some small but important changes in how we were interacting with our dog at home, we saw very significant improvements in his behaviour inside and outside of the house. It is remarkable how consistent changes that would seem relatively minor or innocuous to humans seem to have an enormous impact in the mind of a dog. Paul’s training which is owner focused is well worth the money— I only wish we had connected earlier! We have seen such significant results in such a short period of time that we recommend this service without hesitation to everyone we meet whose dog is causing unnecessary stress. I have no doubt that the board and train program is also excellent. For us, the ability to have a few quick personal sessions in the short term has already improved our lives immensely and we will continue to train with Paul as the results have truly exceeded our expectations.

We cannot thank Paul and his team enough. Our hyper and excitable Bernadoodle Roo spent a month working with the team and what a difference! He is a different dog. He is calm, patient and loves to show off his new tricks. He is excellent with our children- which is a must as he is the size of a moose. He has really learned to respect people’s space and not be a space invader. Paul was responsive and checked up on Roos progress even after he had come home. We are so lucky we found them!

One on one training: My partner and I finally reached out to Paul Boysey from Mellow Vibes for support with our young husky mix. If you’re thinking about reaching out to them, don’t wait another second. We have seen them for a couple of years now walking with dogs in our neighborhood and wished we’d connected with them sooner. They are amazing. Paul’s approach is warm, welcoming, patient. He is confident and knowledgeable, having coming from a family of dog trainers. it really shows. Prior to meeting Paul for a one on one session he answered the many questions on the phone and over text - I wanted some support with understanding some of our dogs quirks and wanted to ensure we were supporting her in the best way possible. Paul really listens. He offered practical, non judgemental guidance during the session and showed us, in the moment, how to support and properly correct our dog to ease her anxiety. He’s given us a whole host of tools that we can actually do!!! I put them Into action today with incredible success. I feel so happy and relieved. Dog training can be daunting and I liked that he suggested that we start with the small stuff to grow to be successful with the big stuff. What else can I say about the guys at Mellow Vibes Dog Training!?! Thanks to Boysie, Paul and Daniel my Golden Doodle Ginger is a well behaved, relaxed and happy dog! I took her to them as a puppy and the results were amazing. Whenever I had questions after the training was over they never hesitated to help and talk me through it. I have also learned a lot about how to maintain the training over the past 2 1/2 years. I trust and respect this family business and highly recommend them to anyone in need of help with their pup or dog. According to the previous owner our rescued dog was a complete mess before staying with Boysie. He was given up by her at a year old because she was unable to handle him. We been told he is a small Yorkshire Terrier Chiwawa mix with a big attitude and he is like an angle now. Boysie changed this dog, he is a magic man.... However a year later we found out, he is an Australian terrier, and this is explain a lot of things in his big "attitude", which is not really an attitude, it is just being an Australian terrier. Boysie did an excellent job on him, he still knows all commands and tricks what he learned there and some more . If you have some behave issues with your dog, contact Boysie. You wont be disappointed.
