Their desserts are really delicious. They remind me of Taiwan whenever I eat there. The fruits and all ingredients taste fresh. The staff are friendly. The shaved ice has so much flavour. I assume they mix it into the ice directly. The strawberry and mango shaved ice is a seasonal item. The vibe and design are spot on as well.
Have been to different locations. This one is in Unionville. If you like Taiwanese desserts you will like this place. They have a variety of desserts and drinks to choose from. The peanut and red bean is god but the tofu pudding and sauce had no flavour. The tapioca balls are decent. Would go back and try other desserts the next time I have a craving.
We got their Signature Icy Grass Jelly and Tofu Pudding No. 1. Signature Icy Grass Jelly came in a HUGE bowl of Grass Jelly, layered with Herbal blended Slush, topped with chewy Taro Balls, Evaporated Milk, it was so refreshing, the perfect sweetness and such a fun texture! Tofu Pudding No. 1 had a Brown Sugar broth, it had Tofu Pudding that could be silky-er, but paired with Mung Bean, Barley, and an icy sweet broth, it still made a good dessert!
Very disappointing first experience at Meet Fresh Markham. First of all, very misleading photo on the menu for Brown Sugar milk shaved ice. Look at the amount of toppings received compared to the menu photo. Secondly, the “milk shaved ice” is not milky at all. It feels like regular water crushed ice, like a snow cone. Based on this, I do not recommend this as Markham has many other delicious dessert places.
Edit: customer service reached out and we tried it again with regular ice. Presentation wise was definitely better than the previous order. Recommending adding milk to it to increase better texture of the icy base. Perhaps it’s take-out, the price does not justify the portion size. I was really disappointed in the taro, as the ball of taro was immediately dissolved into the liquid as soon as I lifted up a spoonful of it - so I wasn’t able to taste any texture but rather drinking the sweet liquid. The product was overfilled with liquid and plain ice to compensate for the emptiness. The taste of the toppings were good, just the overall presentation and texture of the product were disappointing.
A lovely place for desserts. 1 portion is good for 2 people. Bringing more people means you can try more different things! My favorite was the hot almond soup
First time here, our group needed a dessert place after having dinner at Unionville. The staff were friendly, but one thing that hesitate us from coming back here again is the price to portion ratio. Way too expensive for some of the amounts you're getting. The taste was also just decent, didn't match the price point as well.
Great and friendly staffs. Quick and efficient. The signature icy grass jelly really had the perfect balance in texture. The taro balls were freshly served and were very chewy . This store has such a cute vibe and the playlist is great as well. Love this place!!
My all time fav dessert. I come here regularly and pretty much tried their entire menu but now. Love the hot signature grass jelly for winter. Service is fast and the food has never disappointed. Oh and their wifi is fast haha. Follow me for more food adventures on Instagram at @maggielicious.to
We were at the store an hour before close time and they were refusing to sell a number of item on their menu. I bought 3 dessert plus 4 caramel puddings on the side. On of my Icy grass jelly C was missing the sweet potatoes. The service was very bad. Never going back to waste my money there .
