a different experience!! but everything is fine, not to my taste but I give them a 5 star because of the attention and above all the food, a function of Asian food, to everyone who likes food with soup! I recommend them, they have a wide variety in which I liked the chicken. something that I saw well and caught my attention was that the place is very familiar, to enjoy.
Having been on my to go list for some time, I'm glad we finally went. We ordered, pho with steak and short rib, KFC bao, pork belly bao, dumplings and ramen!!! Everything we had hit the ball out of the park!!! I'm in love with that ginger ale!! Absolutely returning as I've been craving it since!!! Also loved the fun atmosphere with the cool photography!! Our waiter was helpful and extremely friendly!!!
Spicy Miso Ramen was so good. The broth was flavorful and very umami. It was definitely my favorite part of my lunch. I do wish that at $15.50 per bowl, it had a bit more toppings and maybe half an egg or so already included. The Vietnamese coffee was fine, pretty average. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. He walked me through everything as it was my first time at Mecha not my first ramen shop which was very kind of him. He checked up to ask about the meal pretty often as well. Will definitely be back.
I came back to this location since I had received a gift card to go. I just want to say I appreciate the gift card sent to me by Mecha but also I always give my honest opinion on my experience since it helps other people know exactly how the restaurant is. I had hopes the restaurant would redeem itself from my previous bad experience but I was not impressed when I went back again. Customer service is everything and when you feel like the staff does not want to interact with their customers in a kind and courteous manner it makes a huge impact to the overall experience of the restaurant.. even if the food is not good, great customer service goes a long way. I Ordered red oil dumplings, katsu bao, mushroom dumpling, and spicy miso ramen. The red oil dumpling was cold as soon as we received it, katsu was very dry, mushroom was ok but didn’t have enough sauce, when I received the miso ramen ..I tried the broth and it tasted like water.. I let the waiter know and he said it is because I didn’t stir it and went to get a new one. I have gone to Mecha many times over the years and not once did the broth taste like water. Then someone came over which.. I guess was the manager I have no idea because she didn’t introduce herself and looked like another customer. She told me again that I should have stirred the ramen.. I was confused since she didn’t introduce herself also she seemed to have an attitude about it. If that was the manager I hope she interacts with customers in a more professional manner in the future. Also I felt like I was being blamed for their mistake which is just horrible to make a customer feel that way. If I do go back to Mecha in the future it won’t be to this location. I really hope they strive to doing better in the future.
Great food wings and ramen and great service. However the space is relatively small so I would recommend getting a reservation because we had to wait in front of the door and it was extremely cold. The architecture of the doorway also allows cool air to get in periodically which creates a cold space but other wise I like it. Parking is kinda bad but you can figure it out.
Busy as a friday evening gets , drinks were amazing the bartender wow'd us with her drinks! Had the flower bomb sangria and a Sifu Lee presentation was immaculate! Staff were courteous checked in often and cleared the table seamlessly Ramen was piping hot and very tasty opted for the hot chili oil add in do recommend if you like an extra kick overall good staff , good drinks, calm atmosphere and great Ramen/Pho
Awesome service, food and drinks are delicious, only once that I went was the food so so but service was still amazing. Overall would really recommend, they even offer extra noodles for your portion if you have extra broth for only 2 dollars! Big portions I always have enough left to take home for a second meal. I LOVE Mecha. My friends and I come here at least once a week. I always bring friends/family here to try and the consensus is always the same. Really good food/drinks and the vibes and atmosphere are awesome. I’ve converted even the pickiest of eaters to ramen because of Mecha. If you’re just trying “real” ramen start with the Shoyu Paitan it’s like chicken ramen . The spicy miso ramen, sweet and sour ribs, and fried rice are standouts for sure. $2 extra noodles to finish broth up always offered too!
Always searching for a solo that way I can feel comfortable eating by myself I came here and enjoyed my time at the bar Christine was awesome and help me review the menu so I can understand a little bit of it and get some tasty sake. She was freaking great even offer me more noodles for my Ramen broth. Extra clean I came around 12 PM on a Thursday very ideal if you don’t mind eating lunch by yourself. Thank you Christine!!!
Seating could be an issue if they’re busy; but it’s some good ramen. If you’re looking for a good ramen chain in the east coast, they are good but if you’re searching for something more authentic you could check out some more local shops in the West Hartford area.
