Great place for sport gears and climbing for kids. Very polite cashiers and helpful staff.
2023 October 4nMEC offers a variety of outdoor gear for all ages. From camping, swimming, hiking, rock climbing, cycling, etc. There's plenty of things you'll find here.n2 levels of clean organized products.nPrices are a premium. Though discounted items aren't bad.nAlso features a mini rock climbing area to practice on.
Cool store with a great variety of stuff. Came here before a camping trip to see if I was missing anything that might come in handy and found some helpful stuff.nnThe staff was sparse and hard to find, when I did flag down a staff member once or twice to ask for help/recommendations/clarification about an item, they seemed uninterested and unwelcoming. No one really checked in on me if I was doing okay shopping or finding everything alright which I found strange.
They sold me a food product well after 2 months the best before date and thought that was normal. Customer service acted like it wasn't a big deal. No refund. No return. Been a member as long as I can remember and used MEC a lot, even for high end items like Garmin watches. No longer.
I had a wonderful experience with the Great Bike Mechanics, particularly Nick, who got my Brodie back on the road in no time. When I got a flat tire and went to MEC, Nick repaired it in less than 20 minutes! His quick service was a relief, and his suggestion for a larger tire was spot on. I'm thrilled with the outcome. Thank you, Nick!
