Really humble, low key, wonderful local spot for butchery, fresh patties, and odds and ends for a nice night in.
Great shop with lovely people. The aged NY strip was amazing. He promised it would be tender, but I wasn’t ready for now tender it was! I accidentally overcooked it I usually eat medium rare but I cooked it to medium well and some corners were well, and even the most over-cooked sections were still incredibly tender and juicy. Great place!
Friendly service and great grassfed meat. For the nub like me I wish there was labelling of what meat is which with pricing on display. They did have the pricing available in the window and on special which was great getting us in! Overall they were patient and friendly since I don't know much in buying meat. I just like to eat it :. I felt it would be much improved experience if they did more visual marketing and easier customer needs by labelling of descriptions and its prices with receipts just to peak interest more. Also the ribeye turned out fantastically delicious melt in my mouth. I also would prefer if they had receipts
I went in to buy fancy sausages and pick bones for bone broth. Really great service, it's a small store but i was the only one in there. I got 12 sausages for $46 and they were DELICIOUS. and i got the bones for free. I will definitely drop by again when I need some specialized sausages or something. Thanks!
Bought 3 lbs of sausage> asked for mild> got 4 varities. VERY spicy and lots of filler. When cooked shrunk in half and exuded HUGE amounts of water. Very overpriced for the quality
I have been buying our meat from George, and the family for close to a decade. I have had great tips, specialty cuts, special orders, fine recipes, and wonderful advice from them. We have tried nearly every variety of sausage, with a personal favourites of Spicey Equadorian, mint and lamb, and the coconut - seriously good. They trim steaks in popular cuts and styles, and if you need something else, like a 5lb prime porterhouse, just ask, and in a reasonable amount of time, you will have your specialty cut. I highly recommend Meating on Queen. Try the salsa verde chicken too!
Excellent service. Exciting selection of hormone-free meats, free range eggs and hand made sausages. Homemade tomales are sometimes available. They also sell corn tortillas which are tricky to find in the east end. I love the cider.
Always fresh, higher quality meat - naturally raised for the most part. Fantastic assortment of homemade sausages Enough produce to round out a meal, and lots of interesting south american specialty grocery items. Service is amazing - I love going to a family run business.
Good selection of sausages! The broadest selection I’ve seen in a while. Well-priced, too - I got 8 sausages for a little over $30, and they came in unique flavours.
I bought a while ago and just finishing the kart of their neat from the freezer. The people are lovely but as for the beat, Honestly it all wasn’t good. The sausage was soooo fatty it made me sick. Like ooooozung orange fat for like 20 minutes- through about 1/2 roll of paper towel. Their super large chicken breasts taste really weird- mealy and wrong. I spend a lot there because the people are so kind but was disappointed with it all.
