Story

McMenamins Thompson Brewery & Public House is open for lunch and dinner daily. Serving standard pub fare with hamburgers, hot & cold sandwiches, soup & salads, fish & chips and other daily food specials. We feature house-crafted McMenamins Thompson Brewery Ales on draft & in bottle, house wines from McMenamins Edgefield Winery, our own craft spirits from the Edgefield and Cornelius Pass Roadhouse Distilleries, as well as freshly roasted coffee from our own roaster and a full bar selection. Beer, wine, coffee and food are available to go. Comfortable seating for individuals or large groups. Outside seating available. Convenient parking. Family friendly, kids welcome. Open late. Reservations available but not required. Free WIFI. Daily Food, Beer, Wine & Cocktail specials. Happy Hour Specials Daily from 3pm-6pm & 10pm-midnight.

Headed down to eat before the eclipse in the morning. The wait staff super friendly and chill. Blackberry cider is seasonal and amazing! Ordered the 19th hole. Too much onion but still really good. The turkey is delicious! Got mine with side salad but too full to eat. Best thing about this place is atmosphere. Got there at sunset and sat on the wrap around desk with likes and hanging baskets. Delightful!

Great atmosphere and location as per usual for a mcmenamins. However, feels like the place wants to push through the walls and be bigger due to so many people in such a small place with a small kitchen. Food was a little dried, but still deserves a 4 star compared to anything besides mcmenamins.

I love Thompson's, actually I love all of the McMenamins restaurants! Each one is unique, but the service, food and drinks are always great!

I wonderful slice of turn -of-the-century Victorian country cottage charm with hip, ambience, and uniquely Pacific Northwest American pub fare with craft brews!

Met some people here about 15 minutes after they arrived. They had received their meals but didn't have silverware. It had been quite a while since they asked. So I went and rummaged through things to find their silverware and, in the meantime, ran into a waiter who got it for them. One person had ordered a strawberry iced tea and I'm pretty sure it didn't have iced tea. I'm pretty sure it was strawberry water. The other ordered a Moscow Mule and received a mojito. So, all in all, the service and accuracy was horrendous. Not the first time I've had bad service at a McMenamins. Typically the bad service is "quaint" and "unique." You know, like you kind of expect it at a hipster, eclectic restaurant. But this service was down right embarrassing. Oddly enough, other times I've been to this location service was reasonable. When the waiter asked if I wanted a drink (which I planned on having) I declined. It was just better the way things were going. Google just asked me for a review on the night the service was comically horrendous. So this is it. I'll try the place again, everyone has bad days, but I'd hope they can get their act together. If not, there are other bars with decent food in the area.
