Fresh Start Market and Espresso

Had ribs and potato salad. Ribs not quite falling off the bone. Taste great. Service great !!

Fresh Start is located right next to the Juvenile Corrections center and serves as a real-life and hands-on experience for at risk youth to build skills that will help them in the community. The place is run by a supervisor and the employees are the youth. That said, the service and quality of the coffee may not be the best. However I like the idea of supporting at-risk youth be involved and be valued members of the community. Prices are fair (cheaper than most coffee places), offers a drive thru, variety of snacks and quick bites (lunch menu includes sandwiches burritos, and daily specials), lots of seating, and has some art/craft items for sale. Fresh Start also has a nursery connected to the back of the coffee shop and offers affordable prices on a variety of garden plants. I think they also sell compost for your soil. I like the idea of Fresh Start and encourage everyone to check out the place and come support the youth.

Large, empty atmosphere but for a good cause with tasty drinks and good food selection.
