Been ordering flowers for my mom for a few years for this place and honestly this will probably be the last. Not only did they call the morning of the delivery to arrange for it last minute for an order I placed over a week ago, they did not contact her until the end of the day to tell her they had a funeral to deliver to and she would not be getting the delivery. While I understand that the delivery to the funeral is important, they should've had the common courtesy to call her and let know not last minute. Am very disappointed and upset that my mom was not able to receive the flowers I paid over 120 dollars for. Edit: When she went to go pick up the flowers I ordered from the shop, instead of them giving us back my delivery money they "added some extra flowers" I've added the picture below but this is definitely not a $120 bouquet of flowers. I could've gotten two from costco $40 each and it would've looked a lot nicer. Save your money and time and order elsewhere
I have always had a pleasant experience here. The employees are essentially flower and gift experts, and always so so friendly. The store always has plenty of new products to browse like likely but and they really go out of their way to make you feel important.
It was my first time to visit what I thought was a little floral shop. We’ll let me tell you, it’s a beautiful store that you think you’re done and then there’s another room. I’m looking forward to my next visit!!
I'm not one to write reviews but the last purchae was very disappointing. Dozen red roses, one of the flowers heads fell off when I unpacked them. White residue and rot. Many were already browning and wilting. My husband bought them for me and said they were the nicest looking dozen there. Never should have been sold in this state. Day 3 they needed to be thrown out. Beyond disappointing for a $60 bouquet.
Went in the store looking to buy , Christmas gifts. Was approached by the sales associate , that I was to take my purse to the front as they are having a lot of theft . My purse is a very small leather backpack that was over my shoulder . I told her it was my purse , she repeated could you take it to the front . I repeated to her it’s my purse . As I was walking away from her , she said in a very rude way good day , like I was leaving . When I eventually did leave , I pulled out my wallet from my purse , showed it to her , and said see it’s my purse! Will never go in their store again ! Very Rude
The selection here is second to none for fresh flowers. They also have a great variety of other gifts.

It was a great first experience! The staff were helpful and knowledgeable..there is also a lot to choose from as far as gifts to add to your flowers. I looked all over for cactus soil and they had it after looking everywhere! PPE was used by all staff and sanitizer was provided. I will definitely visit again.
Truly not sure why the management continues to defend their staff when it appears through reading the reviews after my own experience that I am not the only one who has been treated unbelievably poorly by the staff here. The store itself is lovely and there is such a wide range of inventory to suit a variety of needs. However, the attitude given by staff was so appalling it feels wrong not to let people know that this place should be avoided. I asked the staff for directions/assistance twice and each time was given a very short reply followed by a dramatic sigh, as if I was annoying them by trying to give them business & support local. I was only the only one in the store so maybe everyone already knows that this place sucks? Regardless, no matter how pleasant I was the girl was not having it. I have since sought to buy some of their stock items from other retailers because I don't believe this establishment should continue to be supported for continuously treating paying customers like trash and dismissing any negative feedback. Sure, COVID is stressful for us all but the last thing anyone needs is the negativity the staff continuously display. We've all managed to stay decent people in the midst of all the chaos. Gross. Disappointed, will not be back & anyone who will listen to me will surely avoid this place as well. Absolutely awful.
I’m new to Peterborough from the GTA and I’m so pleased I found McKnight’s! It is a hidden treasure on a bend in the road, next to an auto dealership. If you didn’t know it was there, you might just drive by. . . but you shouldn’t! It’s a really full, interesting, and unique place to shop, there is something for everyone within those walls. I walked in to see if I could find some special flowers for my daughter. I didn’t see anything in the cooler that suited her. It was late in the day, and I was in a pinch. One of the staff, who was a floral designer, quickly went and put together a bouquet within my budget, that was hands down, the most beautiful array of fresh flowers I have ever seen in my life, literally breathtaking. She completely understood the modern look I was hoping for. Her combinations of soft colours, and gentle textures was unmatched anywhere I’ve seen before. The staff were so helpful, and knowledgeable, and 100% went the extra mile. Janice and Linda were their names, great job ladies! I was also encouraged to test some delicious white balsamic vinegar, something I was unaware even existed. Of course, I bought some, and have gone back for it since! This store has everything you could need, and contrary to some of the comments from a while back, things have obviously changed the staff was welcoming, happy, and willing to help. You can park close to the door, walk right in and outfit anyone on your list with quality gifts, and pick up a card and a gift bag on your way to the cash - done! No one paid me to say this either I’m just a big fan, and believe in giving credit where it is due! My only regret, is that I didn’t take a photo of the flowers to share
