McKinley Irvin

My experience with McKinley Irvin was wonderful. They were attentive to every phone call and treated me like royalty when I was in the office. The best part was working (for counseling me only) with Brent Bohan. It felt like I had a friend counseling me; he is fun, easy-going, knowledgeable, passionate, and so very helpful. He listened to my needs and opinions, asked questions, let me know my options, steered me through the process, and completed paperwork for me. Which is exactly what I expect from my attorney. Brent went far above and beyond my expectations. He clearly explained my options in plain English without all the confusing legal terminology. Brent was always clear and concise and to the point. He does not beat around the bush. He was attentive and reassuring when the opposing counsel was throwing their weight around (I could sense the passion and fire he would have defended me with). He clearly explained the rules of the court to me when I was confused. Brent counsel and guidance gave me the confidence to represent myself against an aggressive opposing counsel and navigate the legal system without breaking the bank. I would absolutely recommend him.

I could write a novel on why I am so grateful for Brent and Candice!! I maybe read three or four lines of Brent's bio and I immediately set up a time to meet. I had a gut feeling he was going to be the lawyer I needed to take on my divorce with me. Going into my first meeting with him I didn't want to "win"anything out of this divorce I just wanted my two year old daughter and I to be safe and out of the horrible marriage I was in. From day one I knew my gut reaction of choosing him was spot on. Brent is confident, honest , timely and your strength when you feel like throwing in the towel and giving up. Having Brent and his paralegal Candice by my side through the hardest part of my life ever was a blessing. These two do not miss a beat and have guided me through this process with professionalism ,superior knowledge and a no problem attitude the entire way. Brent and Candice get the job done and you feel like part of their team until the very end.

The first lawyer I found for super cheap, took my money and that was that. I did a lot of research on lawyers after that. I knew I was going to have to spend more on a lawyer for the situation I was in (let me tell you, he’s worth every penny). I read the reviews written about Brent and had a sense of relief just from that. I was coming in at an uphill battle. Not only did my first hearing (I didn’t have a lawyer at the time), go incredibly bad, but I was made out to look like the worst parent/person imaginable. Brent told me from the first meeting that this would be extremely hard, but that he’d do whatever he could to try and help me get the best result possible. He fought extremely hard on my case, and I never felt like he doubted me or wasn’t trying “hard enough”. Brent and Candice were super responsive, honest and made it easy for me to understand what was going on. If it wasn’t for Brent, I would not have gotten the outcome on my case that I did. There’s no doubt in my mind that without Brent, I would have lost custody of my daughter. If you want someone to put the time, effort, responsibility and someone you trust- He’s your guy. I can’t thank him enough.

I worked with Brian Edwards from McKinley Irvin and was very happy with the services received. He always kept me up to date on what I should expect and how long it will take, since divorce is such a long process. I would highly recommend him to anyone, he handled everything really well. I felt like I was a part of the team and not just a "client".

I hired Mr.Brent Bohan, to represent me in a family law case last year, and have been very pleased with his work. The initial attorney I hired for my divorce, nearly 7 years ago, was awful (to put it mildly), and that was my one and only experience with a family law attorney. Brent is extremely personable, professional, and kind. He didn't promise me the moon and the stars, in fact he was very realistic and honest about all of our options, which I appreciated. He put a lot of work into the case, and everything he wrote on my behalf was thoughtful and accurate. It was also evident, that he knew the laws inside and out! I appreciated how cool, calm, and collected he always seemed to be. To somebody who finds this experience stressful and emotional, his demeanor made all the difference. In conclusion, we won the motion. As I told Brent, as long as he is in practice and I need family law services, he is the only one I would consider hiring.
