McKernan Baptist Church

Wonderful ministry. Great people and staff

It's a open non judgmental atmosphere. Worship team is phenomenal. The message is easy to understand and in direct context to what is written in the bible. Visitors are welcome and encouraged to meet and greet with the church deacons before or after service. The church has extensive outreach for people of all ages throughout the week and or weekend. The senior staff and pastoral members are open to all for comment or inquiry of church affairs. Overall it is a uplifting and joyful experience that I encourage all to experience.

Ever since I started coming to this church, it has always felt like coming home. The Lord has blessed me so much, through the thoughtful sermons of the wonderful pastors as well as through the whole church community. Many of the kindest, least judgmental people I've ever met I've met at McKernan. Sometimes it still seems unreal to me that I've found a place like this on Earth. I know it sounds quite cheesy, but I honestly love this church more than any other place in this world. I just want to share this experience with others. There's lots of different ministries and ways to connect. It's truly a place where everyone's welcome.

" Three Times A Charm " - this is the third time at McKernan and each time has been great. Friendly people each time. Just came back from a McKernan seniors get together and it was fantastic. Pastor Mike took very very good care of the whole group. Well done Pastor Mike we were impressed at how well you cared for each and everyone, you made it special. Thank you !

It is more than an excellent church. They also do great job to help international students and new immigrants. If you are a new comer to Edmonton, especially if you live at around the university of Alberta, you may want to consider to attend their meeting on every Friday evening 18:30-21:00. It will be a good chance for your to get new friends and to improve your English language skills for non-native English speakers like me ^_^ .

I assumed that this was an older church, based on the neighbourhood, but it is a wonderfully executed renovation rebuild?. Everyone I've met has been wonderful. I'm also pleasantly surprised by the large parking lot - something that I don't seem to find very often anymore.

Very nice facilities, and friendly staff make this an easy choice to attend services at.

I attend a training session there for Stephen Ministries. Very nice facility - thanks for the hospitality!

Great facility with well thought out spaces for renting and events. 2 great gazebos outside, a nice garden, lots of wheelchair access and a fairly large parking lot.

I went here to Mckernan Baptist Church to Join the MOBY YouthGroup Program, during HighSchool in LYCairns. Started going in 2008/2009 in Grade 10, also took the ETS Buses to Southgate TransitCentre, also to SouthCampus Transit Centre & Took The LRT from SouthCampus Station To Mckernan/Belgravia Station in 2009/2010 in Grade 11. Throughout 2010/2011 in Year 12, I took the ETS Bus 45 Southgate to Southgate Transit Centre, also Took the LRT Northbound From Southgate Station to Mckernan/Belgravia Station, also walked on 76th Ave. I loved coming to the YouthGroups, Having a wonderful time with my Friends on Friday Nights in the Evenings during the SchoolTerm After School once a Month. Pastor Terry was also a Wonderful youth Minister! Most of all, I've also came for GUYS ONLY Nights as well, Also Played VideoGames on VideoGame ExtremeNight at the Lighthouse.
