McKennan Park

This is such a great park in the heart of the city of Sioux Falls. It has a free public kiddie pool and a wonderful playground equipment. There is the statue of liberty by the sunken gardens and flower gardens and many a wedding has been preformed there. In the winter there is a skating rink near to where the kiddie pool is located. A bandstand is located at the southern side of the park and this is where special events often take place free of charge for the public. On the north side of the park is the tennis courts. The land for this park was given to the city many years ago by a generous woman named Helen McKennan This beautiful park has it all!

The park has a variety of things to enjoy. A kiddie pool in the summer, tennis courts, basketball courts, horseshoe pits, playground, picnic area, huge flower garden, and a performance stage.

Playground, splash pool, gardens, tennis, bandstand, basketball and more. This park really has it all. It's also in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We live 3 blocks away and go there all the time! Make sure to come for top notch trick or treating.

Great for families with kids. Playground and lots of shade (lots of big old trees). Swimming pool and toddler wading pool. Horseshoes stakes, tennis courts. Flower garden. They often have family events and that includes an outdoor theater and stage area for skits, plays, performances and sometimes they have church services on occasion.

Love this park, especially in the summer. The garden is beautiful! Also, love the kid plays they put on throughout the summer. Great entertainment for little kids ages 3-7.
