Bought a friend their famous Champagne Cake for her birthday and didn't realize they close at 3pm so I showed up late and thought I really blew it, but contacted them online and to my surprise got a response within 5min. An employee made a trip to open just so I could pick it up and saved the day...Thank you! The slice we saved for someone was unbelievably moist and held up remarkably 3 days later. Many other treats were taken home and sampled by us and all were wonderful... Amazingly friendly and kind staff and owner/manager, definitely a positive experience.
New spring hours as of March 1st 0700-1500. Makes it little bit easier to swing by and bring treats into work. The crew is killing it now, last time I was here was 9 years ago and it is almost a completely new operation. Everything is fresh and looks amazing. I picked up several king cakes for Mardi gras, they were the talk of the office today. Now I'm going to be expected to bring in more treats from here. The cookies are very fun looking. The danishes and cinnamon rolls caught my eye for next time.
McGavins! Is a family staple, if your a local, then you know that Pink Champagne cakes are famous and fabulous; we got the special Mint cake that they make in March, our Daughter request one every year for her Birthday
Raspberry filled champagne wedding cake was perfect and we just keep going back! We chose McGavins over the big name wedding cake bakerys in Seattle and Tacoma because they were, hands down, the best tasting cakes and frosting.
Let me start with one word; DELICIOUS My husband and I had our wedding last Aug we are coming up to our 1 year wedding anniversary on the 29th of this month and he and I still talk about our wedding cake. We had a 2 layer pink champagne, we just asked for some decorative things to go with the cake but I did not want to change anything else about this-already perfect- cake and our guests kept asking us where we ordered the cake from, compliments and compliments kept coming and I was so freakin proud to give them the bakery name. I wanted more sadly, I had to share with others lol but in all honesty; from stepping in on day one to talk to the baker, to picking it up the day before my wedding; everyone was so nice, so professional, so caring towards us and all their customers, I didn't feel rushed, i didn't feel ignored, and not not important to them. Oh, This bakery smells soooo good too, its dangerous haha I am so happy to see they are still killing it and making more people happy with their goodies. Thank you all, for making our cake the highlight of our big day!
Kimberly is the most amazing person and she is such a delight every single time I get to come in and see her working the counter. Madison makes the best cookies I have ever had in my life and I love the cute designs. Larri makes the cupcakes that of course to die for so delicious my personal favorite are the seasonal pineapple and carrot cake ones but ask for them and they'll make them for you because they're amazing!!! Deb Is absolutely killing it with the Danish's my favorite is the pecan roll!!!
I was able to grab a 7 inch pink champagne cake at the end of the day on Friday, which was very convenient! It was tasty & we enjoyed it.
Every time I have gone to McGavin's I have gotten exactly what I need. Their Pink Champagne cake is the best I have ever had, and their variety of cookies are lovely as well. Cupcakes are great and I like to mix n match flavors. These guys are local and a luxurious option for birthday, anniversary, or any special occasion in need of sweets.
The ladies are awesome even at 7:15 am. Very friendly and the Customer service is terrific.The regulars are nice people. The food is fresh and soo good, I had the Pumkin turnover and a strawberry cream cheese Danish and was very happy. Will be back after Thanksgiving. Ten stars and five thumbs up.
I placed a special order for baby shower cookies and cupcake. I provided pictures to the bakery of what I was wanting and they were EXACTLY like the pictures I provided!! They were beautiful and tasted great. The cupcakes were very light and airy, not dry at all, and the cookies were soft and not too sweet but the icing made them just perfect. Everyone at the baby shower asked where I got them! Thanks McGavins, Alex, and the girl decorator who helped me when I picked up for making sure they were just right!!
