McFarland Clinic: West Ames Office

First of all they send me around to fill up several forms, which took me about 20 minutes. That's fine. I was ahead of my appointment. Turns out they goofed up my appointment they had me scheduled for the wrong time (yes, I am absolutely sure, I have the written paper with the time!). Worst management!

I needed to order contacts over the phone for my son. Everything was done quickly and no issues. They also billed insurance so no out of pocket costs.

You are just a number to these people. They DO NOT listen to what you have to say and will just blow you off when you have serious concerns. I came in twice in one week for severe symptoms. The first time the Dr. said to wait a few days to see if the symptoms went away...they didn't so I went back 5 days later. My Primary Doctor just shrugged my symptoms off and said it was viral and did nothing, no testing...nothing. I was in and out of the exam room in 5 MINUTES. I went to another clinic a week later when the symptoms still weren't going away. The other Clinic did a SIMPLE TEST and determined my problem was not viral and that I needed to get on antibiotics right away for an infection. I am still having complications from this problem 2 months later for not getting it treated sooner! I also got a copy of my medical records from McFarland and the Primary care doctor wrote down that I denied having certain symptoms when she saw me and I am 100% positive that I told her I had these symptoms. I will never go back here! My health is worth a short drive down the road to Des Moines.

a little info or answering my questions would've been great. ask about side effects. Mine were extremely harmful and went unmentioned. Just ask questions and write everything down since you'll have to get that advice and procedure yourself.
