Always takes a lot of waiting if you place an online order. Also had a similar experience when visited inside. They really need to work on the service. The drive through was still ok.nThe location is a big plus here. Plenty of parking spots.
3 cars were served in the other lane ahead of me. I was sent to the third window where I waited for 5 minutes before being told that they forget to take payment. They had me drive around and wait to get back to the window to pay, the food was cold when I got it. 15 minutes for cold food... this location has really slipped in the past year or so.
My biggest issue with this particular McDonalds is regarding their hash browns. Every single time I’ve ordered them which is more times than I’d like to admit they are not crispy, and full of oil greasy; no exaggeration, horrible.nnMost other McDonald’s locations in the city other than Lacewood, the hash browns are crispy and fantastic. Is it the temperature of your oil? Are you not frying them long enough?nnIf anyone in Management sees this comment, please take it as constructive and fix this issue.
Around 2:00 a.m., I pulled up to the Drive-In. McDonald's located at 10 Peakview Way, Halifax, NS B3M 0G2, Canada. I ordered 3 servings of quarter pounder meal with nestea without ice and 3 servings of medium fries with 1 hot chocolate and 2 filet fish burgers. I asked to see if my points would be credited and to write down the number in my phone to confirm my account. I have had this situation 2 times before at this McDonald's, so I asked in advance before checking out. My points did not show up. I arrived 7 minutes later and asked what was wrong. He replied that the order was large and so the points had not been sent yet, you have to wait. Time went by and the points still hadn't arrived. I think this guy just took them to his account as he didn't even give us a receipt or put a number on the package. Please check this out and help me figure out what is going on. This is not the first time something like this has happened at this McDonalds.
Edit to add: I visited Aug 13th as a redo, and once again would highly not recommend. Will not honor price listed on app even when their system times out and cancels your order but still takes your points. Also did not ask how ice coffee was made, I drink it with milk, so it was honestly a waste of money. The manager is anything but empathetic. Their tone of voice was extremely passive aggressive.nI thought I would give this McDonald's another go as my previous experience was very poor. It is so disappointing how awful this visit was.n1. Ordered via the app, which didn't record my order properly and showed only one ice coffee when it should have been 2 and a happy meal. *I understand you can't change what happens with the app as they can have bugs, but the response was very poor, I didn't even get enough straws for my order*n2. I tried to explain to the employee. I spoke to 3 employees at the speaker before being asked to come to the window. Which caused a huge issue with the lineup and I was honked and screamed at by another customer.n3. I was advised they had to cancel this order to be able to fulfill the order I originally ordered.n4. I was billed for both orders and only received one. And haven't recieved a refund or anything, as I advised the person yesterday i was billed and they swore to me it would be cancelled and reversed and it was not.nnWouldn't recommend at all
