Larry McCartney re shingled my roof 16 years ago when we 1st moved into this house. We had him do it again last fall. In each case, he and his crew did a great job and the price was reasonable in comparison to other quotes I had received. Also, the work was started and completed as expected in a timely fashion. Larry comes around to check on the quality of the job both before completion and after. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing a quality and timely re shingling job In reading the previous review from a Palmer Hudson, I suspect he is a fake as to my knowledge, Larry McCartney Roofing doesn't do attic insulation !!!!!!!!!.
Got several quotes on my roof replacement. Ended up going with McCartney Roofing.No issues what so ever. The staff were professional. The workmanship was excellent.The roof was completed on time . The staff cleaned up and Larry inspected the roof the next day. Would not hesitate to recommend McCartney Roofing to family and friends and in fact I have.
I have dealt with McCartney roofing over the course of the last 20 years, he did my house years ago and just recently did the shop roof shingles, a job which required some finesse as the shingles had to be removed and the shop is in close proximity to the pool. They did a professional job, cleaned up properly and Larry is easy to deal with, and if there is an issue, he sees that it is fixed immediately. I also used his lift service for a job one time when we had an emergency and the bucket truck was not available. Prompt and professional. I think the guy who had issues has the wrong contractor because Larry does not insulate attics, as it says ROOFING......
Over the past 23 years, McCartney's have worked on three of our homes. Most recently,the company replaced the complete roof and vent system on our current home. The work was done in one day ... critical to us, because we had business deadlines to contend with. The workers were courteous, the job outstanding and the clean up left our property without even a single roofing nail to be found. Mr. McCartney personally inspected the job a week later to ensure that we were happy with the work. Needless to say we were. McCartney's also did outstanding work for us on two previous houses where winter weather, mixed with rain and snow had created ice blockages on the roof ... resulting in water entering the houses from various locations. McCartney's responded immediately to our pleas for assistance. In both cases, the company accurately diagnosed the situation, had workers on site almost immediately and remedied the situation for us. IMHO, there is no better roofing contractor in Owen Sound than McCartney's. Neighbours on either side of us, who recently had their roofs worked on, would concur. McCartney's is a reputable business: one which is built on a quality product, at a fair price. They deserve their reputation for excellence.
In August 2015 I had McCartney Roofing not only replace my roof but also replace two skylights...one was turned into a sun tunnel so needed some very specialized expertise. The entire experience was exceptional, the crew was courteous, Larry was available at any time to answer the few questions I had...he explained in detail what would be happening and how the new vents would substantially improve control of any future ice issue. From beginning to end the entire experience was nothing but professional...my feeling is if anyone has an issue with Larry's work to make your concerns be known and he will bend over backwards to make it right for you....for me I had no such issues. So anyone using this forum to discredit his company clearly has other issues and is a coward hiding behind the anonymity of the web.... For Larry....I will continue to tell anyone I know what a great job he does... a true professional.
I have used McCartney Roofing for the last 10 years on all my buildings & have been extremely satisfied with the service & pricing. Larry has personally gone above & beyond with his service & expertise, including coming out to stop an old roof from leaking in bad weather. If you have roofing issues, McCartney Roofing are the ones to call.
In response to Mr Hudsons review, why didn't you call McCartneys to discuss the issues? Larry has never refused to look at a problem in the last 40years of business. As far as being hostile with you that is not Larry's way of doing business. Larry came out the next day to fix my issues and I'm sure if you call him he would be happy to help.
