Had lunch today at Mazeh and I was very pleased with the food and service. The kafta was delicious, light and didn't feel heavy on the stomach. The batata harra was delicious and light too. They serve modern healthy middle eastern food and they have vegan and vegetarian options too. Highly recommended for anyone who is healthy yet delicious food. Will come back for sure to try other dishes on the menu. The owners are passionate people about food and culture and you can feel the love they put into Mazeh.
We had halloumi cheese and kafta saj wraps and both were delicious they cut it in half so if you are with someone you could order 2 types and swap half and enjoy different flavours - full of fresh and handmade ingredients and it tasted really good! Saj flatbread was nicely grilled adding more flavour and toasty-crunchy texture, too. These are not heavy-loaded wraps but very satisfying and quite filling so it could easily be your choice for lunch. I can eat these everyday. Affordable price is a big bonus, too. Highly recommended for a quick easy super-quality-yummy bite! When we were there they had ginger beer from UK - perfect accompaniment. They just opened in May 2019. Oh, they have a few small tables and chairs outside but across from the street is a university building with steps facing the street so tons of space to sit down.
Mezzeh is a great place for tasty Lebanese food. It's great for any time if the day. It's light tasty and fresh. The staff are friendly and welcoming even when it's busy. One of my favorite spots in Toronto.
Very tasty food, great for lunch. Mary is wonderful and really cares about her food. Keep it up! I've tried tha halloumi wrap today and it was full of flavour
Heard a lot of good things about Mazeh and I decided to try them out, and it was delight! It's a warm cosy place, run by some great people! Today's special was one of my favourite dishes: Kibbeh, a Levantine dish made from minced meat beef/lamb with burghul cracked wheat onions, pine nuts and Middle Eastern spices. It was just perfect, and on the side, a generous serving of really tasty Hommus chickpea dip. I also tried some of thier Saj wraps. Made with whole wheat flat bread, you cannot go wrong with the grilled Halloumi cheese! I loved the balance of flavours between the basil, olives and tomato sauce. If you're a meat lover, then don't miss out on the Kafta, which is a mix of minced beef, parsley, onions and some spices. Great food, highly recommended!
AWESOME AUTHENTIC LEBANESE FOOD-GREAT QUALITY STUFF IN THE HEART OF DOWNTOWN-GOOD PRICES!OWNER IS REALLY COOL TOO
Fantastic lebanese food. Had the persian chicken wrap and wishing I got 2!! I've tried something different every time and it's been amazing - unique, flavourful, good size portions, and affordable. Mary is very friendly and personable. If i worked close by this would be a weekly stop for sure.
Highly recommend! I first tried Mazeh at The Depanneur. I'm vegan and their breakfast option was incomparable to anything else I've tried - unique, fulfilling and so delicious. This visit to Toronto I was excited to check out their own location congratulations! at 335 Yonge Street and the food options remain perfect! High quality and an awesome price point. Can't wait to return!
Delicious food made with so much care and passion. The halloumi grilled cheese is SO GOOD and the food gets better every time I go. Great flavours and a lovely mix of Lebanese/Middle-Eastern and Canadian food. Thank you Mary for the great experience everytime!!
I have tried a few MIDDLE EASTERN RESTAURANTS over the years since I came to TORONTO,CA and I think MAZEH’s sandwiches and they way the food is made is AMAZING!!!!!!!. I love their chicken sandwiches because they are unique and also their food is very healthy. In my opinion,it is one of the authentic places downtown. It is great to see that there is another MIDDLE EASTERN place that is giving QUALITY FOOD that is DELICIOUS!!!!! and that does not sell the shawarmas. They are customer friendly and present to talk to.
