My husband and I are from Chicago and wanted some soul/creole food. We had a wonderful experience from the time we arrived until we left. The food was great, our server was amazing. We had fried green tomatoes, oysters, fried catfish., and collard greens. Everything was delicious. Oh the drinks were awesome!
Excellent service and great southern choices on the menu. We had oysters as an appetizer then the vegetarian jambalaya while my wife had the fried chicken. We enjoyed it so much we saved nothing for leftovers and look forward to trying something new from the menu next time.
One of my favorite spots for a date night or a nice dinner. Maxie's has great options for everyone and always have interesting specials. The BBQ shrimp appetizer is unbelievable
The service was nice. Everyone was friendly. We had Nashville hot nuggets for an appetizer & I had Jambalaya & my boyfriend had the Creole catfish. Everything was excellent! Highly recommend. Oh and they have complementary corn bread!
Been here twice and will definitely be back. The southern cuisine is authentic and excellent. Great wine selection and an oyster bar if you are into that. Service always great.
