Most fruit and vegetable go bad very very quickly
Fresh food good prices. Less line up then other grocery stores or at least the wait time is less.
Had to carry all of my stuff by hand since I had no 1$ coin to take a shopping cart. Ended up taking a fruit crate from an employee. Kinda ridiculous to lock all carts. No other supermarket does this and I don't hear about IGA or Super C going bankrupt because of shopping cart robbers...
We recently moved to Quebec from Brampton and we used to shop at Fortinos, Farmboy or Zehrs. We hoped this store - part of the Loblaws/National Grocers group - would be somewhat comparable...it wasn't even close. It was adequate, but not worth making a special trip into Joliette from Saint Felix de Valois.
Excellent selection and variety of less common items. Pleasantly surprised! Worth a visit.
