Great gem. Recommend the B-52 and split pea soup. Frank and staff were old school. Don’t complain about credit card charges be old school like them and get off your phone and pay in cash!
High priced sandwiches with an attitude. Ordered 5 sandwiches and bag of chips. The lady at the register kept on ringing ....80.00? Asked for a receipt and got one with just the total, no itemization.... Rip off

Great food great customer service but.... they are now charging 7% extra if u use a credit card 7.%?? The average credit card companies charge merchants 1.5% to 3.5% with Amex being the highest. But Greedy Max now wants to change 7% extra?? They had a sign that also said discount for cash. I ordered the same sandwich 3 different times and paid 3 different prices and no discount for cash. I’m sure good ole Max is burying the cash anyway. Time to check with local and state authorities on this guys greed. Watch urself going on there.
Food was good when I used to have it but each time I visited during the pandemic there was someone without their mask on walking right up over the food. I just had to leave 5 minutes ago because one gentleman without a mask on went up to slice bread next the nice woman who was preparing my sandwhich. Sorry, this was the second and last time. I know it's hard on everyone and it sucks but this is really unacceptable.
Good home style far. I love their beef and barley soup but I tried their beef stew the other day and it was a strong contender. The place is nothing exciting to look at but their food is a hug on a plate.
I ordered a sandwich and grabbed a "bai" tea drink. After eating my food i started to feel sick. I then look at my drink's experation date and its November 10, 2020 SEE PICTURE IN PHOTOS OF DELI.I would not recommend anyone going there because it makes me wonder what else is expired as well
John makes the absolute best soups going. even though a bit pricey..... His PotRoast,,Brisket,Cod, Sandwiches are the absolute best The two ladies at the counter one better then the other. He does need a little help on his sauce for the Lasagna. Best, Lou
A great Jersey deli, large delicious sandwiches which ate plentiful. Water, soft drinks salads chips snacks. A few bar stools for eating lunch...oh and breakfast sandwiches. Max also caters parties etc. Nice owner!
