I have been going to Master Rim’s Taekwondo adult classes in the SW for the past 3 months starting at no belt and progressing through the first belt test. Overall I have found the experience to be excellent. There are 3 instructors running the adult class who are all very humble, energetic and ready to serve. All of the instructors are highly accomplished in their disciplines. The class sizes vary but so far I have not felt the classes have been overcrowded or create the impression that there are too few instructors to students. The venue is clean and professional with all the equipment in excellent condition. Parking can be limited but I have always been able to find a spot, at worst on the lower level of the parkade. Overall it is pretty amazing to have such high caliber martial art instructors so close by.

My little guy enjoyed it so much that we signed up my middle daughter, then my oldest daughter, and now my wife and I are doing it too! It's as entertaining to watch as it is to participate. The kids always have smiles on their faces. Loads of fun!

We've been clients since they opened and did business with Master Rim's in Red Deer when we lived there. Decent quality taekwondo instruction, unfortunately, the Calgary location has become quite busy and Master Chong's customer service has not kept pace. Often classes are split in two groups, while you pay for a full session, your kids end up watching the other half of the class get one on one instruction, so a 45 minute class only has 30 minutes of instruction. He's very slow at returning emails. They've recently hired an assistant, but it seems not to have helped. You cannot phone the Calgary office directly as the calls are all forwarded to Red Deer and the staff there cannot answer any questions specific to your class or situation. Parking at this location is a disaster as there is a gym and a children's dance studio sharing the same small parking lot. They have make up classes on Fridays for missed classes and have become very inflexible accommodating families that take vacations and need make up sessions, etc. Sloppy organization and he overcharged my credit card for a number of months before refunding the overcharge. Also, they will try to pressure you to purchase their TKD sparring gear, shop around, you will find the same gear at martial arts supply stores for much less, I saved over $150 by getting mine at Kick's martial arts supply. 5/21: Thanks for the response partially addressing my concerns.
