I am Ryan Stout using someone’s phone having issues signing in to google on mine. I have had problem all my life starting as a child with my joint and muscles. I went to so many doctors and specialists and could not find what was wrong until five years ago. i am 47 now. i have chronic pain and fibromyalgia. Chronic pain specialist told my that when i was born my tissues between my joints did not form right and as i get older the pain will be worse and it did. So i thought i have never tried professional massage so i went to massage heights to see if they could help me. The lady at the desk when i walked in was so nice and helpful and explained what they could do for me to see if it helps me and paired me with my massage therapist Rane. Tonight is my third massage with Rane and I have to say she is a real blessing. I never knew how good it can feel to have my muscles relaxed so they are not putting so much pressure on my joints. Rane also gave me exercises to do at home and with her and them i feel so good. I think i will be coming for massages for a long time because it is not a cure but i feel so much better like 90% better. So if you are like me or just some pain i would say go to Massage Heights and for sure you will leave feeling so much better.
Edit: After getting in contact with massage heights, they have given us a very reasonable frame of time to share these hours and we are thankful for their willingness to work with us in using this time in a way that will be covered by my benefits. Original: My wife and I supported this location through the pandemic by paying our monthly subscription while we couldn't get massages. So we built up $1200 worth of massages that they will not let us use unless we pay another $270 and use all the hours in 3 months. My benefits only covers 500 per year so this won't work for us. They won't give us a refund and we are out $1200.
The place is clean and the massage was the best one I ever had. My only issue was the waiting/reception area was too hot!!
I’ve been in to in to see Laina twice for deep tissue massages, and I’ve never had better, her knowledge and expertise were very impressive, her kind, friendly nature only added to my relaxing time there. Knowledgeable, friendly staff combined with a welcoming, professional environment make massage heights mayfield a winner in my books
Received a deep tissue massage from Jessica today. Best massage I have had in a decade. I would highly recommend her.
Don't see Guy, he's my man, he fixes my problems, no joke. Ok but just to be crystal clear since I saw him today and I don't want to give a mixed message he really is skilled and you SHOULD see him, just don't take my regular appointment. He's particularly great for working out long-term issues or localised problems that just don't seem to resolve. I often need a deep tissue massage but am a weakling that doesn't want pain. He manages to do that very very well. Just go.
My wife and I went to Massage Heights several times and we both agree that it wasn't for us. The facility is nice and the people are friendly but we didn't like that they try to lock you into a contract and we felt a lot of pressure to leave tips at the end of all appointments. As well, at least 20 minutes of a 1 hour massage is taken up by their prep time and maintaining their records talking to you about the issues you want worked on, etc. I have gone to a lot of RMTs and as a general rule your time starts once you are on the table. Massage Heights has cheaper prices and I admit that schedule availability was good, but I still don't think I was getting my money's worth there.
My husband was super sweet and surprised me with a couples massage which was booked in separate rooms as I was having a rough week at work. This was our first time there and we were offered complementary add ons which was nice. It was a long time since we both had massages, which we both needed. The place is really clean in the entry, washrooms and the room itself. It's a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. My husband had an awesome experience he said his therapist has given him the best massage he has ever received. Since he liked her so much and because of his experience he decided to sign up for a contract I declined. It is $70/month or more for a single massage monthly, additional massages come at a different fee. As this is a 12 month commitment and you cannot get out of the contract very easily. The exceptions to cancel within the 12 months is a doctors note, death or moving 25+ km away from any massage heights location. Keep this in mind if you don't really want to commit for a year and paying the $80-95 at most other locations will be better in the long run. I had a bad experience with the therapist I was assigned. I went in excited and hoping to elevate some stress in my upper back, but I left with the stress and pain from what they call a massage. I've had massages in the past, and this was by far the worst one I ever had. The massage techniques felt more like pinching, and they continually tried to adjust the neck piece which resulted in me leaving with a headache and neck pain. I didn't even feel like I had a massage when I left, I felt like we wasted time and money. When we got home, he ended up massaging my neck which helped a little. The next day he took me back to make a formal complaint since I didn't sleep well and I was now taking Advil for the pain. The staff seemed really sincere and apologetic for my experience and the manager has scheduled a complimentary massage for this week with the therapist my husband had to make up for my negative experience. It was definitely worth going back as I received a great massage and they redeemed themselves.
The massage was great. The staff was nice. However, their pricing system is out to lunch. If you are not a member a 30 minute massage is 59.99- 10.00 above everyone else out there. A 60 minute is 40.00 above everyone else at 119.99. This is done so you will join their club to get the best prices 29.00 for 30 and 59.00 for 60. This forces you to make monthly payments - so you are forced to go for a massage every month whether you want to or not because your paying for it. Clever - but unfortunate. I will go elsewhere.
