Story

The Islamic Society of British Columbia and Masjid AlHidayah & Islamic cultural Center striveS to serve the Muslim community in the three cities of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody as well as neighboring communities on the west coast of Canada, approximately 20 kilometers east of Vancouver.

Mission

Your building is very beautiful, though. We cannot find an open space where we can pray at any time. As a Muslim, I want to say this. A mosque should always be open. Our traveling brothers, those who do not live here, and our brothers who have work here but want to pray cannot perform their prayers. Our brothers who cannot make time for their prayers, especially our brothers who are about to complete their prayers, cannot perform their prayers. We ask you to take this matter into consideration.
I have been to many mosques worldwide. But I should say, that this was the only place where I could clearly feel the NOOR warm spiritual atmosphere every time. Excellent and very educated coordinators, humble environment and multilingual approach. Weird feeling of having known them for ages.. Very clean and well organized. It is better organized and managed than the famous Sheikh Zayed mosque in AD. Again, I will be there till the 16th of May, and it was my honour to have this experience and learn from every person I met there. Thanks to you brothers. Greetings from Azerbaijani Turkish brother.
May this Masjid be blessed n they help less blessed humanity all over in Vancouver n other cities n countries with no caste religion culture. Just for one humanity alwaysnAameen
This mosque gives a great community vibe. Ramadan time is the busiest time when. families come and break fast , offer prayers, and late night prayer Taraweeh. It is so peaceful .nnI wish the city would provide a better parking facility or run a shuttle from the public parking lot for older people knowing that it will be busy for Friday prayer and during Ramadan.
Wonderful place providing a lot of service and support to the community; Teaching, sports activities, giving food, organising events for families and kids, giving gifts, volunteering to support people in need … and much more!
