Very good. I’m really pleased so say that yes Maruhachi is convenient but it’s also excellent. A couple other reviewers mentioned the food not being super seasoned, and I would agree but in a good way. Ramen done well doesn’t need to be masked by tons of garlic and seasoning, and here you can really notice and appreciate the clean and simple ingredients paired with a rich and flavourful broth. The service is quick, cheerful, and helpful and we never waited long for anything. I’ll be back many times. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options, as well as soups without pork for those who do not partake. Wheelchair accessibility: There are accessible parking spots and a gently sloped ramp up the curb to the door. Most tables are able to accommodate a wheelchair.
The ramen we ordered are all good tasting and the prices are affordable for the generous serving. One of the good tasting ramen in Surrey. Come try them out I recommend them. Parking: Adequate parking around the building
This is going to be my favorite ramen spot from now on. I ordered the tamago ramen and I’m already craving it again. The broth, the egg, the noodles — couldn’t ask for anything better. The service is also impeccable and the waiters are fun to converse with. This restaurant is a rare gem to find in Surrey.Food: 5/5
Comfortable, clean and bright space. Staff are attentive and courteous. Ramen is good and consistent each visit and with other locations. Finally, a good ramen place in Surrey!! I always get the Shoyu but all other options are great too. Don’t cheap out and get the fried garlic too!Food: 5/5
Okay, I have to said I was surprised that they come to Surrey and open up a store like this. It’s definitely adding some authenticity to Japanese ramen to the city. I like their food, service was good. I live around the corner and surely will visit again.Food: 5/5
I've only been to the Coquitlam branch so far but we tried this one because it's closer. I'm not surprised that this turns out to be just as good if not better than the other one. Food came within 5 minutes, tea was served within 2 minutes of sitting down, the ramen was delicious and the price is great. My brother is currently visiting from and quite the foodie and he finds this better than the ones he had in Germany so far, especially with the Canadian pricing. I'll be coming back 100%
I am surprised that there is such a decent ramen place in Surrey. It is a modern style ramen shop, not as salty as those old ones in Japan.Food: 5/5
They are finally open and I stopped in for lunch! What I ordered: Mini-curry, Shoyu Ramen Pros: The Mini-curry was absolutely fantastic. The sauce was thick and rich. The meat was tender and melted in my mouth. There was just a little kick to it that made my nose water but it was fantastic. I could have easily eaten 2 whole plates of it and I told them this. It might get added as a full entree. Shoyu-Ramen: The broth was absolutely gorgeous and tasted amazing. IT was their signature chicken broth and I drank every drop and desperately wished there was more. The bamboo shoots could have been slightly more tender but they were still delicious. IT came with a copious amounts of noodles that were well cooked. Neutral: The Chashu in my ramen was just average. Nothing to write home about. The broth was absolutely the main star and it fixed every issue I had. Prices: The Mini-curry was about $8 and the Shoyu Ramen was around $15 which is better than several ramen places I've seen and been to. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Ramen options are available. Please note, all the broths are meat based. Dietary restrictions: They politely asked if I had any allergies or anything when ordering. Parking: One lot, about 10ish space. 3 businesses in the lot including a chipotle that's about to open. Wheelchair accessibility: Single handicap spot outside restaurant shared with other businesses in the complex.
I ordered a chicken karaage and tamago ramen. Chicken karaage was great paired with the dip, the soft boiled egg was perfect but the ramen wasn’t that flavourful. The servers were friendly and attentive.Food: 3/5
Food was fine but service was waaaaay too stressful. The waiter basically ran up at the door as we were approaching and I thought he was gonna turn us down since he didn't let us actually step through the door. Turns out he was just super enthusiastic. The other two waiters that came up were also super high key. Like, there's a difference between fast service and service that makes me feel stressed out and this is definitely the latter.
