It passes as a good ramen. However if you are very hungry better go elsewhere, the portions are the smallest I've ever experienced in a Ramen restaurant. The cha siu is excellent, however again very small. You get two pieces. The extra noodle is half a regular serving so if you are a carbovore like me, be advised. Overall it was a nice dining experience.
Surprisingly good, size is just right so you don't need to pack it up. Very flavourful soup not oily, there is no residue oiliness on lips, meat is tender and not too fatty, just right, egg yolk is jammy just how it should be for ramen egg. Staff are very polite and friendly. Washroom is impeccably clean, zero water drops on the floor, sink, toilet paper is even folded with a triangle tip like hotels, this is probably the first time I have seen such a clean washroom in a small restaurant, they probably clean it very often or even after every few guests. Will definitely come again. They give you a card with spaces for stamps if you finish the whole bowl including the soup which was a nice funny surprise.
The waitresses were really nice and the atmosphere was super chill. It seems like a nice place to grab some food on your way to do something else. The gyoza was good and I've never seen it with that kind of sauce before. The bowls were the perfect size to finish and feel full, and the noodles and meat were yummy. However, the soup was really bland. I personally prefer more flavorful or salty broth. I'd still go again though just because it was a good price for decent food in a nice restaurant.
Conveniently located in central surrey area but also with mall free parking for 1 hour underground. Food was good but not exceptional. The soup I like are little different for the Japanese ramen. Their spicy one we found were better in taste than original. Overall, a fine Japanese ramen place for the area.Food: 4/5
Great location for a Ramen shop, conveniently located right by the skytrain. I found their Pork miso broth super flavourful and delicious. However, there is no choice of lean or fatty pork, so I ended up getting some chewy and thin pieces. The pork did not taste fresh and had that reheated taste. I loved their chicken karrage though! It was very juicy. Comes in 3 thick pieces. Service was very great and efficient. The price is a bit too much for what is served.
Finally, a legit ramen place in surrey!!! I had the chance to try the donburi, pork ramen, beef ramen, karaage and they're all great!!! The broth is well balanced. The noodles are perfect. I prefer the thing noodles over the thin ones. The overall ambiance of the restaurant is nice. The place is clean. The service is fast the the servers are very polite. See u again!!!
If you're a ramen enthusiast or simply looking to try something new, I highly recommend visiting this ramen place in Surrey. The quality of ingredients, the skillful preparation, and the overall dining experience make it a standout in the area.Food: 4/5
This place is near my house so I have been here for a couple of time. Overall, it is a place where you will come when you really crave something hot but not something to remember. Food: the spicy ramen with dumpling combo is good, great value. I especially like the sweet and sour sauce the put on the dumpling, it's like a snack and not heavy at all. However, please avoid the donburi. I had order a beef donburi there once and to be honest it did not taste good. The bowl is hot when you touch it but the rice is not hot at all and the beef taste like canned tuna. Service: My first time there my server is a lady, I do not know her name but her service is really good. But I have not met her ever since. The other server seem to not have as much experience as her. Atmosphere: Good, the place is clean and cozy, and it just next to King Geogre skytrain station.
While eating, the flavour of the spicy vegetarian ramen was good. However, after eating I felt like puking… probably because the sodium level of the ramen was too much. The fried curd didn’t taste nice. I would recommend substituting that for something else. The servers were very polite and kind.
My friends and I have been so excited for the opening of this ramen house! We walked past every day for weeks, patiently waiting for the 'opening soon' sign to transition to open doors- and today it finally happened! Needless to say, we were not disappointed. The atmosphere and location nestled in a little corner of the otherwise busy King George Hub are reminiscent of the traditional ramen shops of Japan; tucked away, cozy and welcoming; a welcome respite from the chaos. The service was fantastic; we were greeted cheerfully by the friendly, smiling staff upon entering, orders were taken expeditiously upon being seating, and we never once had to ask for anything - it was always seen to long before we had to ask, with kind, warm decorum. The food itself was delicious, filling, and perfectly prepared. We respectively tried the spicy beef ramen and the pork shoyu ramen; both as a meal option with pork gyoza as a side. The broth was sumptuous, well balanced, and the toppings were delicious. For me personally I always judge ramen by the quality of the broth and the ramen eggs- both of which passed with flying colors. The gyoza were crispy fried to golden perfection, with a house sauce drizzled over top that made them absolutely amazing. My best friend was the first to become a Kinton 'bowler' at this wonderful restaurant - and I have very little doubt he'll be the last. We already can't wait to return and try all the other bowls. Thank you for the wonderful experience, Kinton! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian ramen and gyoza options. Dietary restrictions: Super cool option to get shirataki noodles - a great healthy conscious option! Wheelchair accessibility: Single floor open access.
