Marmalade Cat Cafe

I had seen good recommendations about this place and decided to give it a try. Great location, beautiful building, great atmosphere and service. The espresso was perfect, but then I decided to try this chocolate crumble thing and it completely brought me back to my childhood… tastes like a wet cake.. couldn’t define how delicious it was, amazing. I usually find pastries on coffee shops boring because they taste mostly all the same but this was fantastic!

I honestly believe local businesses always deserve love and good reviews even if they are not doing very well. However, this is a different situation. I never go back to this place again. The employees had their mask on their chin, not on their face. They do not ask for vaccine passport. A few people were coughing, and they did not have good air circulation. The tables were not clean. The washroom wasn't clean. They had 2 employees running around, but they couldn't provide service to all customers. No one was cleaning the tables between customers. Food wasn't good. It also took a very long time to be ready. The bread was old and didn't taste good. Not only do I feel like I'm having food poisoning, but I feel like I'm having a cold as well. I should have walked out the moment I realized they do not follow any of the mandates. If you wish to get sick, go to this place. I'm really disappointed. If I do get more sick and end up going to the hospital, I will definitely report them.

I had a really nice classic breakfast here. The owner is lovely. The cafe was really busy and she noticed right away that I didn't have my coffee when my food arrived. She told a staff member to check on me. It was my first time here so I didn't realize that my coffee was at the pick up counter. I really appreciated her awareness during such a busy time. Delicious Americano and tasty breakfast. Nice atmosphere.

Terrible experience. I ordered online to pickup. A Tea, A Cappuccino and 2 croissants. When I arrived at the time it said it would be ready they hadn't started the order yet. They began the order once I asked for it. Once I got my tea and coffee I asked about the food so she went to check on it. She said they didn't have the ham and cheese croissant so I went to get a refund. At first she didn't know how to refund me so she gave me some cash. I said I wanted to buy something else as I still needed something to eat for my daughter. I then noticed that I was given a danish instead of a chocolate croissant for my other item. The danish was $1.15 less than the croissant so I asked about it. She said they didn't have the item I ordered. Okay so I said I would like to return that item as well and buy 2 of the danishes since they had those and they were cheaper so I should get the difference back. The cashiers response to this was that she doesn't make the prices which I'm not sure why that matters, as you still shouldn't be charging someone for a higher priced item and then give them a lower priced item. Then she said she figured out how to do the return through the online order and took the cash back and I had to repay for the 2 danishes. However I have no receipt or confirmation by email or anything that a return was put through. I hope that it is only delayed. But wow what a bad experience service wise. I will say that the tea and cappuccino and danishes were all good. I would not go back due to service, also would not suggest anyone ever use the online ordering.

Authentic interior design, friendly staff, and good coffee and food. Despite the name, there is no car here, unlike the other cat cafes.Food: 5/5

Breakfast wrap, croissant and smoothie were very good. Only giving 3 stars though because my latte was watery, my croissant was forgotten and the service was okay. Id still go back for the cozy atmosphere and tasty food though.

Love this place !! Great atmosphere; excellent coffee, sandwiches and desserts. Staff were superb - efficient and friendly. This so far has been my only 5 star review and we only stopped by because we liked the name!!!

Killer Chicken Thai soup! Loved it! Some of the front serving staff can lose the attitude. Table was kinda sticky making me wonder if its the cleaning solvent that leaves the sticky or ot it was wiped at all. Place is usually pretty full making it hard to get in at lunch when working near by.

The place has two tables of customers - I order 2 drinks exactly the same. After the girls wander around in the back aimlessly they finally make one drink and leave the other one for 15 minutes later after they have made one for a customer after me. The drink, once finally received is good. The service is terrible. What was supposed to be a treat is a lesson in frustration!!

Favourite cafe in Kelowna the food is great, esspecially weekend brunch! Such a cozy space. Plus it's super kid/baby friendly with a drawing table, change tables & high chairs, which not every safe has surprisingly!
