Love how generous the portions are from Markies!! Their smoked meat sandwiches are to die for. The meat cuts are super tender and juicy, and the flavors were great. Their fries are also super amazing. Really enjoyed our lunch from here! :

Gotta hand it to these guys for being open and operating on a backup generator during the power outages on May 23. Very friendly staff, excellent lunch combo. I'm picky when it comes to authentic Montreal smoked meat, but these guys did it perfectly. 5/5 will definitely be back.
Simple done right. Smoked meat was so moist and flavorful; good fries cooked well; thick yummy gravy. Ordered ahead and picked up which was convenient. Inside is nice and a few tables to eat there. Everyone was very nice. Reasonable price. Will be coming back.
This place is a hidden gem! Not your typical thick batter on a fish and chip meal. Light, crisp and so satisfying! And their poutine? Amazing! The guys there are so friendly, we will definitely be back!
Just one visit, but I know this is will be my new favorite spot for smoked meat. Great service. The staff who greeted me was, very friendly and cheerful. As I waited for my take out order, I saw that all staff were very professional and kind. It’s nice to see this level of care and attention in the food they prepare, and it shows in the taste! So fresh. So delicious. I had a smoked meat poutine that was perfect. I look forward to coming again, and next time with more people!!
My first visit here and it won’t be the last! Ordering was efficient. The Jumbo Smoked Meat Trio was delicious. The fries perfectly done. The coleslaw and dill pickle rounded out this wonderful trio. If you are looking for a taste of Montréal, then this is a must visit and must try.
This was the first ever smoked meat sandwich i’ve ever had and it did not disappoint!! The sandwich was delicious and juicy, and the fries were super crispy! The restaurant was also super clean - and the staff is really nice. If you’re in the area definitely check this place out!

We have heard how great Markie’s is and it was not until today for lunch did we have it! We are former Montrealers and Schwartz’s and The Main are the go- to smoker meat institutions! Markie’s smoke meat has fabulous flavour and a bit more moist than Schwartz’ and a bit drier than The Main…it was perfect! The French Fries were Quebec style I think double fried and excellent! Pickles and coleslaw were delicious. The rye bread was so fresh and light…we are very much looking forward to come back!
