Very uncomfortable experience at this store. In less than 10 minutes, 3 or 4 employees kept approaching me while I was shopping, to the point where I felt watched instead of helped.nLater, when I was near the fitting rooms, someone suddenly yelled at me from behind about putting my name on the fitting room door. It scared me badly and made me so anxious that I ended up leaving the store. Please give customers a little more space while they shop.
This is the best store in the city for your work wear. They have a very wide selection of work high quality work boots as well as everything from outerwear to hard hats. They also have everyday casual clothes and the new location is a lot more convenient. I go there 3 to 4 times a year and have never had a bad experience.
I went into Mark’s looking for some warm fall clothing yesterday afternoon, and a young girl Danika helped me. She was so helpful, kind, and had such a good heart. She complimented the clothing I tried on and was so easy to talk to. My daughter recently passed away, and something about her warmth and patience reminded me so much of her. I’ve had a lot of bad retail experiences, but Danica was by far the best.nTo other retail workers a simple smile, kind word, or genuine conversation can mean more than you’ll ever know. You never know what someone is going through, and the smallest kindness can leave the biggest impact.
Kudos to all the friendly staff at this location. My husband and I were in several times in one day. Bought the wrong size, exchanged it then wanted to order in a pair of shoes, etc. etc. We were those customers that just kept coming. LOL. Each time we were impressed by how patient and friendly each staff member was. If a problem arose ordering in an item the manager was quick to come to the rescue. Hassle free shopping with lots of friendly staff if you need help!
Totally big racism . Worst experience.nnYesterday i went at Mark's in Medicine Hat. I initially received helpful service from a staff member named Kendle during a return. However, when I exchange something a different employee, who appeared to be new and was of Indian descent, was assisting me. I mistakenly provided the wrong receipt, which caused some confusion. I asked if Kendle could assist since she had helped me before, but she seemed to be socializing with her Canadian coworkers. Even though she was standing nearby and chatting with her friends, doing nothing, when the new employee called Kendle over, she didn't even come over and claimed from there that she didn't know anything and suggested they call the MOD. While waiting for the MOD, the new employee kept apologizing, explaining she was new. Eventually, I realized my mistake with the receipt. I felt Kendle's behavior was discriminatory, as she seemed unwilling to help despite being available.
