Marissa's Supermarket

Great selection of foods and ingredients from central and South America. They also have a pretty good lunch counter. They do seem to be under construction at the moment which means the Nicollet door is closed and you need to enter through the parking lot door.

Worst customer service ever! Went in to buy a cake for my niece, and they didn't have them labeled. So I didn't know there was anything different about the cake until I went to pay. Not only was the young women at the front counter super rude, she just kept rolling her eyes and then told me it was my fault because I didn't ask. I love giving good reviews but this place did not deserve it. And we ended up walking out with out a cake.

Marissa's has absolutely everything I could ever want in a Mexican Supermarket. Everything is written in Spanish so I was using Google Translate to scan whenever I saw something that I couldn't identify by looking at it. I got the feeling people were wondering what that white guy was doing. Eventually a manager with a concerned look asked if she could help me. It later occurred to me that she probably thought I was an ICE agent. Funny and sad.

Hate the entrance...but the food and the prices are always great! I go here when I need some Mexican soul food!
