NOW CLOSED: this was a great neighborhood corner store on Nicollet Avenue just outside of downtown. Apparently, the nice folks who operated the longtime shop closed down without much notice (at least that I know of). After visiting just a couple days earlier, I went back a couple weeks ago and found the store closed. The shelves were still stocked, but a handwritten note on the door indicated they were out of business. There have been at least 2 or 3 changes in ownership in the 10+ years I lived within walking distance, so I hope someone revives this very old school, refreshingly non-chain market.

It's almost always good. It's better than it was a long time ago, which is a good thing.
