Atwater is great for fresh meats seafoods and cheeses all year. The fruit and veggies are less during the winter.nAtwater is smaller than Jean Talon market. Easy to get to by bus or metro.nAtwater is right next to the canal and one can walk and enjoy the sights.
A fantastic farmers market that made me happy just being there. Lots of amazing produce that I couldn't but because I wouldn't be able to get it through customs back to the US.nHad a ton of little specialty good stores where I did end up getting some non perishable items. Had a great time going through this
Love Atwater Farmer's Market, always bussling, high spirits, especially on weekends. Really good fresh produce better than Jean Talon. Love having a good brunch, doing grocery shopping, you can get your smoked meat, coffee, cheese, pasta, anything. There is a famous pizza shop here, there is free parking too. You can sit and enjoy your coffee next to the canal, there are benches, and you can set a family picnic. There are good restaurants and cafes around that area, Rue Notre-Dame Street also caters to a lot of amazing food places. Overall, it is an amazing experience to hang around in that area.
I always heard about Atwater Market here in Montreal. I would always get it confused with the forum. Well I finally visited the actual market and it was very busy. Lots of choices of ventures to but your produce from. And of course there are food vendors as well. Very lively.
What a wonderful place . Takes you back into the days where fresh farm fruits were easy to get. No preservatives no artificial shinenLoved the little hustle bustle around with aroma of cheese, fresh baked pizza, chocolate & coffee….felt like in a movie.nnThe walk on the canal bridge with children and bikes. There were rentals available too.
