After a long hot day, we decided to stop by after a visit nearby. A few people in the line and fairly busy - a normal on a Friday late evening on a summer day is my guess. Limited the vegan options, which is OK as at least they had. The staff seemed pretty tired and disinterested in either greeting the customers or even didn’t seemed to enjoy or putting any efforts in mixing. We took one vegan chocolate and one regular Black Forest. The Black Forest was good, but the mix seemed very inconsistent and many bites just plain ice cream. The vegan Chocolate with nuts was disappointing. Well, the chocolate ice cream tasted vegan. While many retailers have come up with amazing flavours and taste which IMO very close to the real thing or in some cases exceeds. This to me if you have a non vegan, they could easily tell that this was vegan. The inside two tables were not cleaned and we couldn’t sit in
I'm unsure about the ownership of this store; however, for some reason, they restrict the number of toppings to just two. This is a situation I've never encountered at any Marble Slab before. I ordered a milkshake and initially wanted banana chocolate ice cream, which they didn't have. The staff suggested that I opt for chocolate ice cream with a banana topping, to which I agreed. Consequently, I ordered a Nutella milkshake with banana, Oreo, and caramel drizzle, only to discover that I was only allowed two toppings. I was disappointed by the absence of such a basic ice cream flavor, and adding the banana topping meant sacrificing one of my topping choices. I had no choice but to make a selection between the toppings i wanted, which I found to be quite unprecedented. Staffs said they dont want to do something that will get them in trouble. I get it. She was doing her job. I was willing to even pay more but they have no way to charge it. Owner need to clarify this and even post it on their menu. Oh wait you cant because even the official Marble Slab website indicates that they offer unlimited mixins. Thats why theres no options to charge for more toppings!!! But hey the whip cream was free? Unbelievable. Nonetheless, 2 stars for the milkshake actually tasting pretty good, but not worth it for $10 with only two damn toppings.
I was here with my family, we ordered 7 ice cream, total came to $85. After ice cream, I was thirsty, and tried to buy a drink. The store was empty of customers and 3 employees, but I could not get service. So I left. I could probably get a drink elsewhere much cheaper, but I was there already. We won’t be returning. The ice cream was good, but the service needs to improve, and service is important, especially with prices like that.
Needed to buy an ice cream cake for a birthday, didn't have time to shop around. This place charges $48 for one with minimal toppings/fillings, and then they have the audacity to prompt for a tip after you take your own cake out of the fridge and walk it to the counter. Will head to a competitor next time thx.
Awesome.. The cakes seem melted because I forgot to freeze them! They were super yum esp the low fat vanilla yogurt cake!
To be clear, I cannot rate the quality of the ice cream as I never had a chance to try it. My husband and I wanted to try it for the first time and came in around 10:15pm on a weekday. There were a few people in there when we first walked in but they cleared out a few minutes after and we were the only customers in the store. We weren't greeted, one of the 2 employees disappeared into the back and the remaining employee ignored us. We stood across the counter from her for about 15 minutes directly infront of the register without even being looked at or spoken to waiting to order. It became apparent that based on the fact I had not even had my order taken or been acknowledged at all 15 minutes into standing infront of the employee that I likely wasn't going to get served before the store closed, not to mention the fact that the complete lack of costumer service had left a taste in my mouth so foul that the best tasting ice cream could never make up for it. We decided to walk out. Seems to be this establishment is both severely understaffed and lacking in customer service skills. I will not be back again. Very disappointing..
Super good ice cream, unlimited toppings which is great. No complaints!
Ordered an cheesecake icecream with 4 toppings , it arrived with no toppings… just icecream… and icecream was tasteless. I ordered via Uber eats and they didn’t give me a solution , I contacted the shop on Facebook and they don’t reply. 17 dollars for an icecream with no toppings and tasteless, 17$ in the bin…. ‍
Great prices, Massive Ice-cream and endless toppings. Had one with the family the other day and I would go again. Had lactose free Vanilla Icecream.
Had a custom photo cake done and it came out so perfect!! The staff were very friendly as well :D
