I don't know why we waited so long to try this place out. They have really great burgers and Reubens at least that's what we got. The Reuben was on special so you got free fries or tots with it. I made mine Drunken with bacon, cheese, ranch, jalapenos. The atmosphere is modern, but still has that little business feel. The co-owner wife was super friendly and had amazing customer service skills. Loved that. Just recently they extended their hours to six so that made it easier for us as normally it is morning and early afternoon. Definitely stop and support local for a bite to eat and there are vegan choices as well. Oh and don't hesitate to get the Mac and cheese bites too. You're welcome.
First time eating here and it was AMAZING! I highly recommend this place! Today’s special was cheeseburger and fries for $5. The burger was great, fries were delicious and all very filling. Neat little thing about this place is the bathrooms… you can write on the black walls with the markers in there. Pretty cool. I did some writing myself! Thumbs up for Maple & Rye! Check it out!
Stopped here in a while and really enjoyed the food. The sandwiches are a La carte and reasonably priced. Food was fresh and tasty. We liked the small town feel of the location but the inside was modern.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
I had the Wake and Bake sandwich and pickle fries you have to get them!. Great food, great coffee, friendly staff. I'll definitely be coming here more often!
Good food and staff was super nice. We visited for the first time for brunch with the kiddos. Only one issue for me is coming here with kids. We only found 1 highchair and no changing table in the bathrooms. I know businesses don't usually prioritize these things and that's fine i.e. 5 stars still. I would still return myself, just probably not with little ones.
This place is just great all around.Best BLT I ever had in my life. Can't wait to go back.Everyone sure check this place out.You will not be let down.Food: 5/5
Had a burger and it was good but a little greasy. Wife had one of their vegan options and she enjoyed it. We enjoyed the Jones Soda Fountain, always nice to have options you don't often see. Service was good as well. My only suggestion is to figure out a way to get rid of some of the grease. It seemed to overwhelm what was otherwise a good burger. Will definitely be giving them more visits.
We had eaten here 3 other times before driving an hour round trip each time because their food was always worth the trip. On Friday 1/31/22 we picked up my mother in law on the way to treat her to what we had always known as great food. We ordered 2 cheeseburgers and 2 fries, a breakfast skillet and 3 drinks for dine in, and a cheeseburger and fries to go to take home for my father in law. The first issue was that we weren't told before purchasing drinks that they had no ice so we had to drink warm pop with our meal mildly annoying because bags of ice could have been purchased to eradicate their ice issue. Then our food came out. My burger did not come out with the fries that I ordered... our burgers had no onions... the burger was burnt and super greasy and the egg was burnt on the edge but completely raw in the center even the white of the egg was completely runny and raw. We spent $50 on this meal and ended up leaving still hungry and embarrassed that we had raved about this place and this was the meal we got when we took a guest with us. Not sure what the issue is but we won't be back. It was totally worth the time to get there and the money spent when they cared what they sent out but this was very disappointing .
I heard great things from peers, and wanting to support local businesses, my father and I visited. I was rather disappointed honestly. The food was decent, but the wait was insane. There was one person in front of us already seated so we thought it would be quick service. The gentleman waited an additional 20 minutes before his food arrive once we ordered, paid, and were seated. No exaggeration, we waited 50 minutes for our food. My burger came out, as well as dad's sandwich, without the sides we ordered. We were informed they were out of tater tots and agreed that fries would be fine. Our entrees were finished by the time the fries arrived. We understand the world is short staffed, but for being a restaurant at lunch time on a Saturday, we expected more. Unfortunately I was not impressed enough to return.
This restaurant is new to LaPorte and knocking it out of the park with the food! We were greeted when we entered. The menu was chalkboard style high on the wall behind the counter. I saw the smaller framed menu on the counter listing the specials. Only one person working the front counter and serving food. Ordering was seamless . She was very attentive to keeping the tables clean. She checked on us to be sure we didnt need anything else. I noticed after patrons left, the tables and chairs were wiped down thoroughly with an anti bacterial spray. There were 2 patrons that came in together, obviously in a hurry, waited 3 min at the counter, then left when they felt they were not going to get service. The server was getting a large order from the kitchen and the patrons were just not patient. Maybe a door chime would work here So slow down! Don't be in a hurry.. you owe it to yourself to go. The food is top notch here! And besides who wants to be in a hurry when enjoying great food! Features: All tables and chairs are wiped down properly after each patron leaves.
