This beef brisket sandwich was good. If you're a hard core BBQ fan you might not find this is your favorite, but for the price it's a good, easy cheap meal. The family that owns and runs it is so nice and friendly. I'm sure they'd be open to feedback, if you are someone who has a strong opinion about Texas BBQ. I personally just want to be able to grab a sandwich to go, and these guys make that easy. I used to go to Bahn Town next door but their food safety rating turned me off, so now I'll be going to Manna BBQ for a quick meal.
If Joseph Nigari gives a restaurant a bad review, then it's got to be good! The seasoning on the meats was very tasty. The staff was very friendly. Will be back next time in Seattle!Food: 5/5
Best BBQ in Seattle! The owner is very kind and remembers you. Everything from the meats, to the sides to the pecan pie is the bomb, and everything is reasonably priced.
I was really craving some ribs today and decided to try this on the way home. The portions are big but unfortunately the meat tasted like lighter fluid. There’s articles on the web that talk about alternatives to starting charcoal like chimney starters. Maybe Manna’s doesn’t use lighter fluid to start their charcoal but whatever it was the flavor was really off and the ribs smelled like a tire shop. Too bad because this seems well rated on Yelp and like a Greenwood mainstay.
Just came in for a late lunch. We got two light plates - pulled pork and brisket. Those come with just one side and some corn bread - we got baked beans and potato salad. When we got two sides of beans instead the gentleman behind the counter was super gracious about it and gave us the salad no problem. Anyways, onto the food. I really liked it. Specifically I liked that it was not SWEET. Even my husband who is not a baked beans fan because of the usual sweetness, liked the beans here. Same with the BBQ sauce. We got the medium which had enough to make your mouth tingle but not enough to swear. I'll probably go up a level when I come back. I also intend to try the pork ribs next time as well. The meat is cooked separately with the sauce of your choice put over the top at the end, as far as I can tell with the meat I ordered. The ribs may be different. So the meat is not cooked in the sauce but even still the pulled pork and brisket were nice and tender with its own flavors that complimented the sauce on top. The potato salad was good too, not super mayonnaisey. I wasn't enthused about the corn bread but that's a minor detail, when is cornbread ever spectacular? So yeah, I would like to come back.
We thoroughly enjoyed the BBQ here! The brisket was cooked to perfection and the ribs were fall-off-the-bone delicious! We were so thankful we got to try this little restaurant.
Finally, BBQ that taste and looks like BBQ. The pulled pork here was really good, fresh and juicy, highly recommend checking the place out. Will probably cost $8-$14ish depending on what you get
Brisket tasted like it was cooked in a slowcooker instead of a smoker, because there was no smoke ring or bark. sauce was kinda good. Expensive as well
These guys can lay down some MEAN brisket. Cuts with a fork, super smokey and fantastic WOO!
The pulled Pork sandwich or Beef Brisket sandwich small or large taste great every time. I finally tried the Texas Spud, a potato with all the fixin's including a meat topping. Lots of menu options including home made pecan pie. Yum!
