Good overall experience with tasty dishes, and a good service, although the design of the interior is a success when you're all the way at the end but the corridor before looks a bit more messy... Unfortunately portions are small but prices are high... Too expensive for what you get

I go to Manitoba about once every 3-4 months to keep up with the changing menu. My preference is to sit at the bar, admire the flow of the open kitchen an banter with the chefs. The decor is slightly industrial but very rugged - as are the dishes. Presentation is simple and straightforward and most of the flavours are inspired by wild foraging. The spruce springsteen gin cocktail is one of the best reasons to come here - gin and privately made spruce beer are combined with a fresh spruce tips to make a pungent and lingering forest cocktail that pairs perfectly with the dishes. Usually one app, one main and one dessert are enough to keep you satisfied but not bloated. The staff makes sure you are satisfied start to finish. As with the ingredients, expect some inconsistency in the flavours or style of food. This is part of the experience of Manitoba. With an open mind, you will never be disappointed here.

Really good place to try something new. Their Boreal inspiration is something unique in Montréal. Food is fine and tasteful. I recommend the deer and seal. Service is impeccable. Dish are really well explained. You feel they are proud of their product and suppliers. Your glass will always be full without even noticing their presence.

Underwhelmed; food was not seasoned at all (salt!!!! And flavorless in general...), duck was poorly cooked (felt like the meat boiled instead of being properly seared) and was very underseasoned as well. The only thing that tasted of something minimally interesting was the side to the duck but the lavender taste was overpowering and left little place for nuances. My partner's dishes weren't better; he had a piece of fish served with whole lettuce in an underseasoned lettuce "cream" (read: watery milk). Covering whole lettuce leaves with lettuce milk is definitely not bound to develop a bounty of imaginative and inspired flavors, let me tell you. Who even thought of flavoring lettuce leaves with lettuce anything? Even my drink was rather bland and lacked a proper kick ("cold fashioned"). Very one-dimension food, could be better researched, better constructed and executed dishes, and definitely more complex. Very disappointed.
