Manifesto Lifestyle Salon is a premium Aveda hair salon specializing in natural and organic, aromatherapy based services that encourage you to ‘declare your style’. Located on Commercial Drive, we offer an inclusive experience for our guests through collaboration, communication and innovation in the services we provide.

MEET OUR TEAM...

SALLY is our Senior Stylist and Owner, and specializes in taming all types of curly hair, upstyling and makeup artistry for any occasion. She's also skilled in men's barbering, fades, facial hair grooming, as well as custom hair colour customization.

JANE is our Intermediate Stylist from Vancouver. She specializes in current creative Aveda hair colour, highlighting and colour correction techniques. Jane has upstyling.

JILLIAN is our Junior Stylist from Alberta. Passionate about textured bohemian bobs, fades and with a fabulous attention to detail, she is happily taking appointments for all haircuts, hair colour and highlighting needs.

This is a great salon with a friendly atmosphere. I can say without a doubt Jillian is the best stylist I've ever been to. I have long curly hair and it was out of control when I first came to see Jillian. She talked me through her process and helped me understand why I was unhappy with my hair and what she could do to change it. I've been here multiple times now and I always leave feeling super pleased with my cut. Highly recommend :
I love this Salon & the people that work here. Everyone is so warm & welcoming. Jane is a miracle worker. She does an incredibly beautiful job on a difficult & precise cut. She rescued my hair & style after another stylist at a different salon butchered it. She’s also a fabulous human being. She was so patient & supportive with me. Especially in dealing with my concern & anxiety, after my previous bad experience at the other salon. She really listened & understood what I wanted. Since that first visit, I’ve returned to Jane several times since.
I’d avoided getting my hair cut for years due to chronic pain - the idea of sitting up and still for the amount of time it takes for a haircut simply wasn’t possible, then when I was well enough the pandemic put all haircut plans on hold. I’m glad I finally went in, Victoria gave me a terrific cut, was very gentle on my sensitive head, and scrubbed a bunch of solid shampoo residue off my hair leaving it feeling lightweight and bouncy. The scents/products used in this salon are also not bothersome to my scent-sitivity. I’m grateful that this service is available!
I love this salon and the friendliness of all the staff and clients. As it is just down the street from where I live as well as in the best neighbourhood in Vancouver yes, I am biased but really it is the best!; it is so worth taking a trip to Manifesto for a scalp massage and haircut. I have had the pleasure of doing foils with Jillian simply lovely and always so well dressed and yesterday I had my hair cut by Victoria who is also lovely and took the time to go over the haircut with me as I was a bit nervous having had several bad cuts over the years hence not having my hair cut often. I needed a good trim though and my hair is curly and Victoria did a fabulous job. All the stylists at Manifesto are highly experienced!
Been to Manifesto twice now to have my hair cut by Jane and she has done a really great job both times with my thick, wavy hair and growing out bangs. Not only have I been so pleased with the finished results but I've also really enjoyed the process including the relaxing scalp massage, chilled atmosphere and the fun conversations. I'll definitely be going back for my next cut.
Jillian is an absolute star! The kindness, professionalism and detailed explanation she gives really set me up for success. Through the entire process, she continually stays on the vision we planned together making sure my needs are met. Each time I come in, I walk out with healthy hair and beaming smiles. The ambiance in the salon is so warm and welcoming and I know that everyone there really cares about the guest experience. Thank you Jillian for all the love you put into my locks!
