Staff was super nice. Portion and the freshness of Brussels sprouts were really good, we couldn’t finish it even though we shared it as two people. I liked the sauce they used in calamari. Pepperoni pizza was good but not exceptional. Indoors was quite cold for a summer day but overall it was a great experience.
I had a nice dining experience at Mani. My companion and I sat outside. Our server was kind and attentive. We ordered the whipped ricotta, it wasn’t my taste but I’m sure others would like it if that’s your type of dish the tomato vodka pasta and the supreme pizza. The food was great! My only feedback would be that the pasta portion size is very small, especially for the price. The pizzas are the best bang for your buck. Also, not a huge deal, but we were charged $1 for extra bread that we needed for our whipped ricotta. If you give someone a huge portion of ricotta and only four pieces of tiny bread, and you’re already paying like $12, I don’t think one should be charged for more bread. And we weren’t informed there’d be an extra charge. Overall, Mani was great and I’d come back.
Was in town this past weekend to drop our son off at Umich. Decided to give this place a try and it was excellent. I highly recommend the Pickled Tomatoes as an appetizer. For my entree, I had the Spicy King Crab with a Bell’s Oberon…a local wheat ale. Was too full for dessert. I’m definitely coming back here the next time I’m in town.
First time Michigan wanted some Italian and I can say with complete honesty I chose the right spot. Whether it was the service, the ambient or the food everything was great. My only critique would be that the carbonara was watery and didn’t have that much flavor. I also think if the bacon was cut up into pieces it would be integrated with the whole dish better. But overall I was so happy.
The staff was courteous. We had reservations for a party of 7,including 3 children. As for the food, I've had better Italian food in A2. The pork belly was the best dish. The chorizo stuffed dates was good too. The crispy cauliflower foesnt compare to a similar appetizer from The Cheesecake Factory. The crab pasta was mediocre. So was the Supreme pizza. The pesto gnocchi was alright. The prosciutto arugula pizza was good.
Food: 4.5 Staff: 5 Environment: 5 We came for restaurant week and their deals are totally worth and delicious!! Everything tasted fresh and cooked/prepared well except for the grapefruit sorbet at the end super bitter, just don’t try even if it’s on the regular menu. Our server was also super friendly and welcoming the entire time and the place had an amazingly lively atmosphere!
Lovely. Honestly best service I’ve had in years. The drinks and food were beyond perfect. Even on a busy Sunday morning we had quick seating, food and drinks on point and the waitstaff work extremely hard. The chefs are amazing and talented and I respect anyone who works in a kitchen that’s visible to the restaurant!! Will be back Parking: Parking garage nearby but street parking available with 2hr limit
MUST VISIT if your looking for an excellent Italian meal. I've lived in Ann Arbor 3 years and kept walking past this restaurant because it's ALWAYS busy and now I see why. Our waitress Savannah was Amazing !! So polite. Great atmosphere for a date or going out with friends. I will definitely be bringing freinds and family here who come to visit. I highly suggest the fire roasted mushrooms as an apatizer or side
i’ve come here twice so far and both times, the food has been delicious. shrimp scampi: 5/5 calamari: 4.25/5 spicy king crab pasta: 4/5 tomato vodka rigatoni: 5/5 marg pizza: 3.75/5 cannolis: i only had the chocolate one 4/5 service was a little slow sometimes but they were busy so it was understandable. otherwise, a polite staff and great food. i hope to come back again to try more of their dishes!
Pizza was meh... staff was great. Personally just wasn't a fan of this style pizza and especially for the price. I'm a cost efficient person, but I will spend a little more if the flavor/serving size is there and in this case nah. It wasn't terrible it just didn't leave an everlasting impression. Like I would never get pizza there. It had soggy bacon on it. I would definitely have to try something else. The house ginger beer was pretty meh too. Very much just ginger and club soda flavor was lacking. Cool looking place though. As a tourist I wouldn't add this to the list unless this cuisine is up your alley and if you do go dont get what my partner ordered which was pineapple bacon i think. Get anything else . Place is pricey too. Parking: Street Parking
