Man Cave Barber Shop - Yaletown

The shop is pretty good. I went once as my regular barber has moved on and is much too pricy for me now unfortunately. When I went I was in super fast and a nice man cut my hair absolutely beautifully! It was perfect and I was very happy with his work and his care towards me. However I went in yesterday as I am the best man at my best friends wedding and was excited to get a fresh cut! I got a man with long hair in a ponytail and he asked what I would like, I asked him for a mid high fade and to leave the top. He was very fast I’ll give him that! My cut was done in around 10-12 minutes, a bit too rushed I feel as usually it takes 15-20 mins. The man didn’t talk to me at all, not a big concern but I do expect a few friendly questions here and there I don’t think he ever smiled, I felt a bit like a burden to him possibly. My cut was average ish. It’s a bit higher than I’d have preferred as I was hoping for mid high and I feel that this is just a high fade. He asked if I wanted it the same on both sides and I said yes please, but one side is clearly much shorter. I just find the cut to not be super even or flattering. I feel kinda nervous and disappointed as this is a very important event and I feel like i lost some confidence and that may be affecting my feelings towards my cut. Overall I’ve had an amazing experience and a meh experience. I’m sure I will keep returning, I just hope in the future there will be more care towards finishing touches. Avoid, if you need any level of precision work. I have long curly hair with the sides trimmed to zero with no fade. I went to trim the sides today. I made sure to stress the point that they should trim only the sides and nothing from the top. My hairdresser was going so fast I can see and feel the trimmer tugging at my long hair at the edge of the undercut. I reiterated my request few times and it fell on deaf ears. My hair was tied up and I couldn't tell how much hair I lost in the process until I washed it at home. It takes 2 years to grow back. Thanks for nothing! Speed is favored over accuracy here. They might be good at simpler stuff or other stylists might be more skilled. Certainly, the wrong place for me. I ain't coming back.

Tatiana is one of the best hairdresser/barbers I have had! Her hair cuts quality and attention to detail rivals many of the more higher end places that I have been too. In the past I used to spend a lot more to get a lot less compared to what Tatiana does. I would highly recommend this place only because of her. With other barbers I have not had that good of a service. When you come in there be sure to ask for her. She works there on Mondays, Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.Services: Hair shape up

Great value compared to what I'm used to in Austin TX. Barber was quick and skilled. Great skin fade. Took maybe 15-20 minutes. Walk-ins welcome. Got in immediately. Nice sitting area for waiting. There's free PacMan, too. High quality products for sale here, too.

Hospitality like no other barber shop I’ve ever been to. Been coming here for two years and haven’t considered going anywhere else. I love the cuts I get from Tatiana. She's friendly, attentive, and quick without rushing. Above all, she's great at understanding the style I want and helping me turn pictures into a cut that suits me. She nails it every time, I'll be coming back for many more cuts!

Got a haircut today was charged $50 for a skin fade, small trim and hair line ups. The tall short hair barber was extremely rude, he gave me an attitude after I asked him if he can cut my hair within an hour because I have to go to work it took him 15 minutes to cut my hair. Worst part my hair is not even! I literally almost walked out during his poor and stupid unprofessional service. Never coming there ever again and I don't recommend this! I would rate it zero star.

I later realized that my barber completely didn't understand the hairstyle that I wanted and kept going without ever asking furthermore. I'm not that kind of person who would embarass someone in public so I kept quiet since it's too late. I have been growing it to build the hairstyle but now my hair looks funny. Looks like I'm gonna be wearing a hat for the next few months. $30 haircut for nothing...

They only have walk-ins and handle them very nicely. The barber was okayish, mostly listened to what I wanted. The beard trim cost me more than a haircut which was not expected. Overall a good experienceServices: Scissor cut

I always go to this place for my haircut. It is a fair price and they do an excellent job. I hope the price stays fair. So many other places in Vancouver are overpriced and they mess up your hair. These guys really know what they're doing.
