At Mamma Grazzi’s, we are known for our old world Italian cuisine, featuring homemade pasta, hand-rolled thin crust pizzas, and a fresh selection of grilled chicken and veal dishes.

Story

Our menu was created to provide an ‘al momento’ cooking philosophy which means that each pasta, pizza and entrée is prepared individually to order. Tucked away in a cobble stoned courtyard, our warm and charming ambiance is sure to please.

Mamma Grazzi's has won "Best Italian Food" as voted by Ottawa Xpress Readers for 1996, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2004, and was selected as “Great Spot for a First Date” by CheapEats Ottawa in 2006. Drop by and see what everyone’s talking about! We're fantastic Italian food in the heart of the Byward Market.

Reservations are welcome any time, for lunch or dinner. Please note that we do not accept reservations on our patio which is only available on a first-come, first-served basis.

AMAZING. Hidden gem, we ate our main course so fast I forgot to take a photo, it was delicious! Pasta was made with love and the appetizers were amazing. Our server I wish I got his name, he was so charismatic and funny! He knew my love for Parmesan and gave me a chunk to take home with my leftovers. He went above and beyond to ensure our dinner was memorable! I’d go back in a heart beat!
Great atmosphere, great food, great service. This is one of the coolest patios in Ottawa. They offer great Italian cuisine and an extensive wine menu. The food is delicious from the complimentary bread to the pasta and pizzas you will be blown away. The outdoor eating area features a stone triple arch and cobblestone patio.
We visited Saturday night for dinner. My two sons don't eat much, we ordered one plate for them to share and were served two individually prepared Mini meals! Ordered tortellini and gnocchi for wife and I. Food was made quick and served hot. Everything was delicious. No beer on tap though, cans only. Washrooms needed some TLC and men's washroom was partially blocked with spare chairs stored in the tiny hallway. Would have been five star if not for the WR situation. Otherwise, great food experience. Kid-friendliness: They gladly split one plate for two kids and apple juice was available.

We found this hidden restaurant and it exceeded our expectations big time. The food was just spectacular. Pizza special, Penne pesto special and Gnocchi. Big portions, beautifully served and delicious. It’s manager For more than 20 years Dragen was the best host. He made our evening a really especial one, always attentive, and going above and beyond. Recomienden 100%
The ambience is cozy, nice place to dine I ordered the madgascar. The sauce was really tasty, was robust but not overpowering and everything else worked together beautifully. Friendly staff. By the end of the meal I was planning my next visit.
Service was spectacular, food was really great. The pizza was thin crust but easy to pick up and hold with one hand. The handmade pasta was delicious and great texture. Highly recommend visiting here. Very relaxing and chill atmosphere for both a romantic date or dinner with your colleagues.Food: 5/5
Dinning on Saturday night. Good service. Food could be better quality, especially veggies. Broccoli was old and black.
Beautiful location, tasteless pizzas. Service was relatively quick and we decided to order margarita pizzas. After eating one slice of eight it was apparent that the pizza had absolutely no flavour whatsoever. We told the waiter who was very apologetic even though it wasn't his fault and he went to get the manager. When the manager arrived he grabbed our food and said "you said the food was disgusting and I take offence to that." We responded "we never said that, only told the waiter that the pizza didn't taste like anything." The manager left to hunt down the waiter as "he had lied" to the manager; after that pleasant exchange we decided to leave. This situation was handled improperly and we wouldn't return here.
Fantastic, authentic food. Can't go wrong with any of the pasta choices. Our server was lovely and hilarious. highly recommend!
