This place serves up the best pizza I've had in Ottawa. Their Caesar salad has the crispiest croutons! Make sure to get some chili oil to drizzle on your pizza and some sauce to dip your crusts into. One reason why the pizza is so great is because the crust has that proper crisp with enough chew to let you know that the dough has had time to adequately ferment. The service is always friendly and helpful too.
We came during their soft opening, so the restaurant was still being set up. We ordered a veggie pizza, salad and wings. The food was absolutely amazing! It wasn't super greasy, saucy or cheesy, giving everything the right amount of flavour, texture and taste. The pizza was very light and the crust was thin and baked to perfection. The wings were massive and had the right amount of spice. The sauces were amazing and paired well with what we had. The service was great too! Lil Z's is off to a great start!
This pizza is amazing. I've had it multiple times and every time the quality is high. The toppings are on top, the sauce is Italian, the crust has that wonderful chew not just doughy bread, the use of cornmeal to slide the pizzas in and out of the oven just adds a great texture and is extremely reminiscent of Windsor style pizza. You must eat here if you're a fan of truly excellent pizza. *Note this is thankfully about as far from Ottawa style pizza as you're going to get, so be forewarned if that is your kind of pizza. I've done both Dine In and Take Out, both were equally delish!
We went specifically to enjoy some live music from Chris Smith on Friday night and was pleasantly surprised at how amazingly good the pizza's were. Some of the best I've had!! The arugula salad was so good and the service was super friendly. Will be going back again!!
A magnificent surprise in a wonderful area. Pizza is so delicious and the staff are really friendly and are very knowledgeable. The food is spectacular I got the hot fire pizza which was so flavourful and delicious. The quality truly shows. Great joint.
The namesake is a serious contender for best pizza in Ottawa. Impossibly thin crust, crispy without being a cracker, unexpected and brilliant combination of flavors. Nice space and friendly staff too.
The crust! The best thing on these pizzas the “Lil Z” hot honey everything bagel crust and the “Hot Fire” hot honey sesame crust paired with their garlic sauce was just sooo good!! Nothing beats it! The third pizza we had was the “All Day Breakfast” and we also had their Mozzarella sticks - these weren’t our favourite. The service was quick and friendly :
This is a new pizza place that just opened in the Byward Market. The pizza was delicious as well as the drinks. But the highlight was the super attentive service.
The best pizza I've ever had. This pizza will take you all the way to Italy! I was wondering where to eat but wanted pizza, the wind coming down the street byward market square brought the smell of the delicious pizza oven, I couldn't resist but to check it out, I had the margherita pizza and the mushroom with pepperoni added to it as suggested by the very friendly waitress, I was all the way wow'ed! The chef is indeed Italian, you can tell from the way the pizza is made and indeed the waitress confirmed that! The pizza in this place will make you smile all day long, and the taste will register in your memory cells for ever! Since I don't eat pork, I was happy to know that the pepperoni is 100% beef, it is spicy, smoky and had the right amount of crunch to it. The dough is nice and fluffy! These guys know what they're doin'! This is the pizza that Ninja Turtles crave all day long!
A good pizza option if you're around the area. The hot fire pizza had a nice kick to it. The dough was thin but held everything together. I really enjoyed the sesame crust. We also ordered the lil cheese sticks and a garlic cream sauce to dip our slices in which were just okay in my books. The one thing that really threw me off was their tap water they served. Real funky taste. We ordered beers shortly after our first few sips. Service was okay, casual and a little slow but they're nice.
