« Maman » has become one of my top 5 restaurants in Montreal! We gave their brunch menu a try, the pain perdu was artfully presented on a blue contrasting plate, the mascarpone sauce had subtle hints of espresso which combined well with the choice of bread and the refreshing assortment of summer fruits. The bread remained crunchy on its outside layer, while absorbing the rich flavours from the butter and the sauce! Overall extremely impressive palette of flavours and use of textures. The setting was artsy and open spaced. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Thankfully they had an exterior patio to enjoy the warm summer sunshine! My only critique, is that the chairs were a little uncomfortable and could benefit from cushioning! Overall very impressive restaurant, will definitely come back and try other items on the menu!
Both service and food were good. We had ratatouille, which was the weekend menu. It just that day, the kitchen door was open the whole time, so the room temperature was high and it was full of the smell of food. We waited quite some time for our food as well. About 40 minutes but the service was good!
We had a ladies afternoon gathering here, and it was such a lovely time. The staff here were so sweet and attentive. Dessert and drinks were great! Highly recommend!
Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Maman! Albeit, it is on the pricier side, just to be aware but you won’t be disappointed! We had chai lattes which were lovely and tasted the delicious cookies. For brunch, my husband had the papa bowl I’m pretty certain is the name and said “it’s the best breakfast I’ve ever had”. I had the avocado toast which was good but not necessarily like next level. However I did appreciate it had sides of pumpkin seeds, sea salt and chilli flakes! Service was good - our initial server was not very friendly and then suddenly switched and she was a lot nicer! Loved the vibes and the space over all. Can’t recommend enough!
This place was super nice. The interior is very cute. The food was amazing and so were the cortado and drip coffee. The staff are beyond generous with such friendly service:
Went there for the coffee and I met fabulous team and really really really good coffee. Croissants are tasty and they have a nice terrace! It’s very dog friendly as a place. I highly recommend!
We had the maman sandwich, papa bowl and salmon tartine. The vibe was amazing m and the food portion was just right. I expected longer wait time but we were seated right away. The cold brew was totally my style, no taste of diluted coffee. Even the plates and the cups were so cute. The servers were so nice and smiley. We had some patisseries as desserts forgot the take the pic I highly recommend ordering the lavender baked goods.
We have been to Montreal a few times and are originally from the NYC are. This is by far the best place for breakfast or lunch. High end eats with culinary flare, fresh ingredients, gourmet coffees and the nicest staff. We will be returning.
Super cute ambience, with friendly service. The coffee is consistent and so are the pastries. The food is delicious but depending on what you would order. We had the Mezze and pancakes for breakfast and they both had a great flavour although the pancakes were served a bit too cold. In general, really cute place to grab a local coffee
Pastries and coffee are really good! I had the lavender latte and would recommend. Only reason I’m not giving Maman 2 stars is because of the customer service. My boyfriend and I really did not enjoy our food. My avocado toast was not toasted enough and my boyfriends truffle croque ‘maman’ was so greasy he didn’t even eat it. We felt bad saying anything right away but mentioned it after we paid. The manager I’m assuming felt bad and said he wished we would’ve told him so he could’ve taken something off our bill. All of the staff were super kind and helpful. Ambiance is really nice. Might be back to try something else off the menu but I will most likely only stick to coffee and pastries.
