I heard about that place by looking at recomendations around griffintown, and it was highly recommended so i decided to try it. First off, the place is small and cozy and you can see everyone working in the back, making and baking the bagels and whatever you order so you do get an artisanal "quartier" vibe, which i loved. You know that if the bagel are made on the spot they are bound to be good and this statement is 100% true. I had the egg and cheese special, on a griffintown bagel ..... IT WAS VERY VERY GOOD. The cheese type and the mayo sauce complemented the turkey very well. Definetly also recommend the chocolate bagel if you are craving carbs feel like having a sweet and savory desert all in one.
Wouldn't return. Don't like the small amount of smoked salmon in their bagel, not much cream cheese either. Quite disappointed. Bagel is par, soft and good chew with a crisp crust. For almost $12, I'd expect a lot better. Takes AMEX.
Le Trou's bagels are tasty, not overly doughy and is the perfect bite until the last bite! Will be craving their everything bagels until we visit Montreal next time from Toronto. For now we'll slowly cherish the 2 dozen bagels we're taking home with us. Thank you for your artisanal creations and the lovely service!
Deluxe Egg & Cheese on Cheese Bagel - best sandwich I’ve ever had. Friendly customer service, seriously tasty bagel. Will definitely be going back soon!
This was such a cute and cozy spot! My friend and I went for breakfast bagels we caught up on life! There is a little spot to sit down which was very cute! Loved the open concept where you can see them working behind the counter! The bagels were delicious and I found the prices to be reasonable ! The staff was friendly and really accommodating! I will definitely go back !! Bravo! A suggestion to add some pillows or seat cushions to the spots to add a bit more comfort !!
I honestly liked this bagel shop better than the "big two" that everybody recommended in the city. We got the chance to try their bagel sandwiches everyday for breakfast here and they never once missed. The coffee is also very good. The staff was also very friendly and helpful as our french isn't polished. A must try in Griffin town!
I had the egg and cheese bagel and sesame bagel with cream cheese and it was delicious. The egg was cooked perfectly and the type of cheese they had really complimented the bagel. even though I already had breakfast before coming it was still yummy!
Had a team building activity at Le Trou! Thé staff and owners are so sweet, they explained history about bagels. We had the opportunity to make bagels. Staff made it into a very fun activity !! We got the chance to roll our bagels and bake the. So cool. Bagels were so good. Overall experience was amazing. 100% recommended
The chocolate and cranberries bagel was delicious. Fresh and sooo tasty. I had a second one. Place is cozy and welcoming. Great customer service! Next time in Montreal I’ll definitely come again!
This is the BEST bagel shop in the world!! The cinnamon raisin bagel filled with maple butter and jam, coupled with a freshly brewed Americano, is the most amazing way to start your day off. Customer service is impeccable: the staffs are warm and kind and always hold a gentle smile while they serve your food. MUST TRY :
