Mama's Greek Cuisine

I’m confused about how high the rating is. Chicken was dry. Rice was mushy. Potatoes were bland. The salad was fine if you don’t mind just getting pure olive oil as a dressing. Everything is precooked and just sitting on warming trays. The place is fine if you need a meal, but nothing special. Just food court quality.

How have I lived in this neighbourhood and never visited this place? It's a small unassuming takeout joint in a strip mall but the food is actually so good and authentic. I got the chicken souvlaki plate for takeout and portions were generous enough for two meals if you're not a big eater like me. The dinner comes with a pop as well and the owner was so nice and threw in a free pastry. Will definitely be back some weekend for the moussaka!

AMAZING!! The owners are so friendly and sweet. The food is great - big portion sizes, not too salty and very fresh. I got the moussaka my favourite, souvlaki chicken, spanakopita and baklava which were all super yummy! The store is really clean as well and their Covid measures made me feel really safe. Definitely will return!!!

This an Uber Eats Review. Food was good overall and the service was fairly quick. The portions were decent for the price I guess. Will most likely try them again in person at the store and see if that makes any difference in the overall experience.

You wouldn't think there's a pandemic going on as this place gets busy for those in the know for wholesome homestyle Greek food. Only 2 persons allowed inside at a time which is fine as it's a takeout place. Fresh veggies on the side salad- always a good sign that the lettuce is not browning and remains crunchy, sizable portions, great prices. Good polite service too. Wish their tzatziki sauce was a bit more garlicky :

This is the best Greek restaurant you will find! I’ve had greek food from all over toronto, including many spots on the danforth and Mama’s Greek is not only better quality wise, but it is better price wise! The quantity and quality of food is always amazing and fresh. The owners are very friendly and we always have a good laugh about our rival greek teams . They treat every customer with a level of warmth and friendliness that you will not find anywhere else, which is what makes Mama’s Greek so unique! The chicken souvlaki dinner with rice and a large greek salad is my go to! If you haven’t tried this restaurant out, you need to… because you are missing out on the BEST Greek food.

Always a regular place for our lunch take out. The family owned restaurant is fantastic and family oriented. You get the service like it was your own momma. Love the food and service. Actually I'm eating their souvlaki as I'm writing this review ! Hahahah

Review about service is in my friends words who went inside to pick up while i waited in car. She was impressed by the Greek Hospitality of the owner who told her about the famous Greek Dishes and contents. The owner was so genuinely happy to serve and looked cheerful. Chicken Souvlaki : Great juicy taste and tender . Rice:Puffy and delicious. Potatoes : Soft with a hint of lemon .Tasted great as well. Pastitsio : Scrumptious and it melts in your mouth.Not just the Beef and potato filling but the pasta as well.This was the best tasting greek dish i have ever tasted. Salad : Tasted so fresh and complemented everything else .Topped with the word famous feta cheese which never has tasted this good. Owner suggested to pour olive oil on the salad which made it even better and for the Souvlaki ,the Tzatziki Sauce . The portions were generous and even with some stuff left on my plate , i was so full. Now we will have to go back and try their Mousakka. Must visit for people who are into Greek Cuisine or just regular food because their food has homemade feeling and it is yum.

We got two Chicken Souvlaki Salads for take-out from Mama’s Greek Cuisine recently and, everything was just perfect except that the chicken was, unfortunately, very dry. However, we are definitely looking forward to giving this restaurant another chance! All the vegetables were fresh, the Tzatziki sauce very tasty, and the Olive Oil dressing with the grated cheese delicious. Perhaps it was just a bad day for the chicken? Anyway, the service was friendly and diligent so, I recommend you give it a chance if you are around.
