Incredibly gorgeous scenic trail with plenty of pretty falls. You will fall in love with this place instantly. The trail is an easy 4.4km/2.74 miles round loop that is very kid and dog friendly. Going to the 5th bridge can get a bit muddy and you'll be attacked by lots of mosquitoes at that point. Trail is a bit crowded, the further you go, the less crowded it gets.
Stunning view. Easy to hike. If you bike here. I recommend parking at fifth bridge and hiking along trail 7 river side. Then go back to fifth bridge by trail 7h.
The Maligne Canyon walk is lovely and suitable for all ages and fitness styles. It's not a paved walkway, so it's not stroller-friendly or accessibility-friendly unfortunately. There are several different routes to go around so you can make the walk as long or as short as you would like. The ground can be fairly slippery when damp so use caution with your footing. It's not necessary to have poles, though crampons would be good in the winter.
This is one of the beautiful destinations one can visit. I went during February winter and I got the opportunity to see nature colours with ice & snowfall. Because it's icy, we wore cleats for safety. It's a must to have otherwise one might face difficulties in many icy areas and fall. Free of cost. We didn't hire any guide however we did full research before going there.
Unreal. I can't decide if it is better iced over or raging in summer. Free to walk the trail from the main parking lot, 3 levels of trails; The easy blue trail has a couple great views, The medium brown trail takes about 40 minutes and has a lot more interesting views, there is a much longer trail that's about an hour and a half long which I did not try. The brown trailer was challenging enough especially on a hot day.
Gorgeous view! Easy hike to the first and second bridges. We went early April, just missed the ice tours season in the canyon, but still worth the side trip to see this deep canyon! The pictures don’t do it justice, it’s impossible to show the scale of the depth!
Beautiful view with trails. Still worth to visit during winter. Trails can be dangerous sometimes, must bring winter boots to be safe. Frozen water falls are gorgeous and love the winter vibes!
Absolutely gem of a place to be at. So calm and relaxing place nourishes the mind body and soul. Great views throughout the walk. It is a long walk if you want to cover the whole canyon. The tracks are very clearly marked just make sure you carry the map, that helps tremendously to decide and discover the path.
Amazing place to have a great hiking and see scenic water fall. The longest hike you could go is almost 2 hr looking around. The walk is so amazing and adventurous one will fall love with its surroundings. We went during day time and it was pretty busy, would recommend to go early morning when it is quite and u could take it beauty all alone lol.
Liam and Jordan were fantastic guides. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely recommend. About a 3 km medium hike for able bodied people.
