Mali Thai Restaurant

The food from Mali Thai was much better than I anticipated! I ordered the Thai Black Tea, Mali Pad Thai, and the Appetizer Spring Rolls via the delivery service Door Dash (great food delivery service for lazy people like me). The food arrived fresh and still hot which was great! The Mali Pad Thai was the perfect blend of sweet and savoury and the restaurant supplied a very generous portion. Same goes for the Spring Rolls! I personally really enjoyed everything and will definitely be ordering again.Everything that I ordered could very easily be split between two people or make great leftovers! I also thought the prices were relatively fair so overall I think it was great!

The food smells amazing, though I have yet to eat it. I was so upset by the encounter with the delivery man that I had to get on googl and write a review before even eating. The food came to $36, and I gave the guy $40. He did get the food here exceptionally fast, but I mean I'm a 20 year old student, a $4 tip is a lot for me to dish out. Anyway, I say to him "I don't need any change back." He finishes counting the money and then SCOFFS AND SAYS "right..." Like, he excuse you, give me my damn tip back, I'll appreciate that four bucks more than you will clearly. And that was on top of the delivery fee... very rude

This is probably one of the worst Thai restaurants in Vancouver. It's definitely the worst Thai food I've ever had. Listen to everyone else and do not order from this place. Delivery was late, as so many other customers have complained about. We ordered one prawn pad Thai, one prawn Mali pad Thai (tamarind sauce) and the tapioca dessert. Both of them had 3 prawns each (which we pay $2 extra for), noodle was overcooked and all stuck together, there was no sauce at all, it was all just stuck together and cold. We had to microwave it and it still was far from edible. And as everyone else has said, the "tomato sauce" they use on the pad Thai tastes just like ketchup. Disgusting. Plus it was basically 90% noodle and 10% tofu and prawn. We couldn't even find the eggs that are supposedly part of it. After all we could only stomach to eat some of the Mali pad Thai because we were so hungry. Dessert was just as bad. It was extremely dry and looked as though it had been made a long time ago. They use so much coconut milk in it that it's completely overpowering. A complete waste of money and we ended up having to throw out one entire meal and we're going to sleep hungry. I'm so angry at myself for not having listened to all those other bad reviews. Stay away from this place! EDIT: I called the restaurant to talk about all the issues described on this review and they simply said I was lying and when I said I took pictures of the meals as soon as they arrived, so I could prove I wasn't lying, they hung up on me. When I called back straight away, they picked up the phone and immediately hung up again without even saying "Hello". I called again and they sent my call to voice mail. So yeah, expect that kind of customer service if you ever go to or order from this place.

I come to Mali Thai pretty much once a week . I almost always have the Pad Thai. The food is great and the prices a reasonable. It's not a fancy restaurant but it's cozy. Highly recommend.

Delivery time says 60mins. I get a call after an hour telling me my food will take another 2 hrs to arrive. Ignorant manager then tells me to wait or cancel then hangs up! Top class customer service.
