Story

Maison de Xin is a Chinese buffet and take-out restaurant located in the heart of Clarence-Rockland. Close to the City's Hall, the family-owned restaurant was established in 2002 and has been running for more than 15 years.
Maison de Xin welcomes diners to experience the tasty range of Cantonese, Szechuan, and Canadian-style cuisine the buffet is known for in the Rockland community. The delicious all-you-can-eat buffet has over 50 food items to choose from, including our piping hot won ton soup, to our scrumptious crispy egg rolls. We also offer an a la carte menu with a variety of other dishes not available in the buffet.

Stopped in here on our way back home for an early dinner. It’s interesting that the small town of Rockland has two Chinese buffets. Service was good and so was the food. It’s not an overwhelming buffet - it has your staples so it’s quite easy to try everything if you wanted to. No complaints at all - I’m sure we will be back the next time we are in the mood for Chinese buffet.
First time here - staff were nice. Food was average. Wontons in peanut sauce were not my favourite - threw out after a few wontons. Rice was good. Rolls were greasy.
We had a family service brought 25 out of town people to this rest at 330 , we were not offered menus, given bottles of water no glasses told we had to wait for Buffett .i went up and got menus had to go back up to place my order and ask them to come to our table to please take order from our ederly who not eating Buffett, a new waitress said well I just came on, ok so can no one serve our table , the sign says they are open at 11 . I am so embarrassed . Will never go back. Alot of money was left here for Buffett at 32 per person $ 800, thru could have made a lot more such and rude horrible service !
I ordered out tonight and the food was so amazing fresh hot and the flavors where spot on i even called to tell the chef his food was amazing I would so recommend to family and friends or even if you pop in rockland go try its amazing
We ordered from Maison De Xin on New Year's Eve for the first time and were not disappointed. The curried vegetables were flavourable but not too hot. The Pad Thai was as good as I have had outside a Thai restaurant and was loaded with large shrimp. All of the dishes had a hearty amount of meat nicely tender and vegetables lots of variety, crisp sitting in the right amount of sauce. The egg rolls were crisp and not greasy at all. My only suggestion would be to offer the option of upping the flavour and kick of the dishes as they tended to be on the tame side in this respect.nnWhile we ordered take-out, I noticed that the restaurant looked clean, nicely decorated and well organized - would be good for large families or other events. We will be back!
